Buhari's Govt Printed Over ₦22trillion & Poured It Into The System - Gov Soludo by Tofax: 8:19pm On Sep 02, 2023
The Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has claimed that the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari printed over ₦22 Billion and poured the money into the system without backing the money up, noting that the country is grappling with high inflation as a result of what the past administration did.

According to Vanguard Newspaper report, the former CBN Governor made this disclosure when he was being interviewed on Channels Television on Friday, noting that Bola Tinubu inherited a stagnant economy from the past administration.

Professor Soludo said: "The past administration printed over N22 trillion and poured it into the system without backing it up. Now we have to grapple with high inflation and the impact of the exchange rate."

Furthermore, the Anambra State governor noted that he is glad that President Tinubu has taken courageous step to remove the obnoxious scam that has festered over the years called petrol subsidy, and now dealing with the exchange rate.

In addition, Soludo noted that he is willing to give President Tinubu and his government the benefit of the doubt, noting that he believes that the newly set-up economic team will solve the economy problems. He went on and urged Nigerians to support Tinubu's administration, so that he will be able to achieve his plans.

Still nothing to show in all the bad 8 years of the clueless nepotistic Buhari government. The bad government so far in Nigeria history. Now tell me which legacies did Buhari laid for drug baron Tinubu to follow. Absolute nothing, even Tinubu minister of finance confirmed it that the last APC government is the worst government in economy sector of Nigeria. Nothing tangible to expect in Tinubu government too as he removed fuel ⛽️ subsidy without tangible preparation for it. He’s releasing palliatives after the NLC and Nigerians pressured him and his government to do so. Still the palliatives can never solve the problem of the suffering masses. This no-nonsense Igbo technocrat would piss many of his kin off.

His statement here is as brutally honest as it can get.

The Naira might need to depreciate further.

Soludo, remove your mouth from Hausa/Fulani and Yoruba matter!

There's a reason even Tinubu's Ministers are all very quiet as to the rots in their various Ministries upon resumption of office. Everybody dey talk in codes. Even the crude and brash Nyesom Wike recently came out to expose the fact that Abuja has been subjected to an 800million dollars Garnishee payment, but was careful not to name Buhari and his minions.

No come use busy body set yourself up in your bid to impress Tinubu, who's a spent force after this Presidency. Your own political career still has a long way to go and the North doesn't forget.

Ndi-Anambra should caution Soludo! He's becoming too loud lately.

You are contradicting yourself

Soludo just praised Tinubu for making the right policies, though very bitter- yet here you are condemning them.

Palliative for what? Ending the fuel subsidy was to save money, palliatives will guzzle money. It defeats the purpose.

The best kind of palliatives are sound economic policies

One would be to lift the ban on poultry and rice imports. Place a low tariff on them like 20%. This would bring down the price of poultry making protein cheaper and creating a booming trade in it. The import duty would also generate revenue for the government.

The federal government should also lift the ban on the importation of okrika and place low duties on them. This will create a boon in the sale of second hand clothes

There are so many ways to help the masses than using deceptive palliatives that only deceive them

This stupid talkative can never be strategic while discussing issues of national concern. Does he think thîefnubu doesn't know about the heist committed by Buhari?

But you can't hear thîefnubu discussing Buhari's criminality. It's you, the lousy and less composed talkative that has become his mouthpiece.
