That's a normal paintball gun for playing paintball. It can be injurious at very close range or if it is shot at the eyes but ultimately it's non lethal. |

Honestly, NPF are so funny! They are experts is extortion. Spyder Victor is an inexpensive paintball gun. A simple Google search would have saved them of this embarrassment |

This toy is even being used to create awareness and curb gun violence in civilized countries. A a recreational and training tool. Kids as young as 8 use these in amusement parks. It doesn’t have enough force to cause serious harm as long as not shot at the eyes. (Not about the material put in it.) A good catapult can do even more damage. |

CaptainFM1: My job took all the employees for a break and decided to go practice our shooting ability at the paintball game. We had a assault rifles looking ones and we were made to wore a body gear including a protective head gear so that none of us will get hurt. It was fun tho. Some guys even went further to buy 80 paintball bullets for $49.99 just to get at others. |

Qc1: Good for you. Security analysis is dynamic. Using paintgun or toy guns maybe fun for you and your colleagues in Calgary, but it conotes a different meaning here if the circumstances and conditions are odd. |

Tapout: Who on earth crops paint gun nozzle if not Nigerian criminals. I can bet the nozzle was cut off to allow for easier carriage for their sinister motives. Like I said, the circumstances and condition in which he was caught with the "gun" will throw more light to the whole story. |

illicit: Toy guns don't use live bullets too, yet most airlines ban it to be carried in hand luggage. A tool can turn into a weapon depending on the motives, circumstances and condition at the time. 1 Like |

CaptainFM1: Airlines don't label toy guns as WMDs |
Re: Police Recover First Gas Gun In Nigeria In Lagos, Arrest 66 Criminals by CaptainFM1: 2:26am On Sep 04, 2023 |
illicit: Nobody labels anything WMD. What I'm saying is any tools can automatically turns to a weapon depending on the motives and circumstances and conditions in consideration. A sledge hammer in the hand of a carpenter may not look odd provided he's doing his capentary work. However, the same carpenter with a sledge hammer in an odd location far away from his workshop at 2am could be presumed a burglar. A knife or cutlass in the hand of a butcher in a market may not cause concern, but same butcher enters BRT with knife and cutlasses in his hand will terrify almost everyone. Don't pretend as if you don't read the part I said motives, circumstances and conditions. The fact that the police said one of them jump into the Lagoon to evade arrest suggest what they are using the toy gun for. The fact that the paintball-gun nozzle is cropped could be that they cut off the nozzle for easier carriage and to avoid being detected. Ours is a country where ordinary spoon has been reportedly used to rob people. So how much more a paintball-gun that can easily be converted to a real weapon? https://www.dnaindia.com/technology/report-paintball-guns-can-easily-be-converted-into-the-real-thing-1383484 1 Like 1 Share |

The NPF can't afford it. But armed robbers could afford it. This is evident that Nigerians are sitting ducks. |

zeuss: The guys were using it to rub ppl. So I don't blame the police if they embarrassed and brutalize the suspect. I only feel disappoint in the police, especially a whole commissioner saying that he had never seen a "dangerous gun" like this since he joined police force and vowed to do everything possible to investigate and find out how such "dangerous gun" infiltrated into our country 🤣🤣🤣. The man deserved to be demoted cos he doesn't have what it takes to be in that position. This kind of man can ignorantly coin a story that can take an innocent person to the hangman. 1 Like |
