The president was an igbo man(nnamdi azikiwe). The Goc(the most senior millitary officer in nigeria) was an igbo man(aguiyi ironsi). The most senior police officer before independence was Eugene Akosa Keazor. He was an igbo man, infact a relative. He was the highest ranked african police officer in all the british held colonies. He was billed to hold the post of inspector general of police, but he retired in 1964. The same year louis edet was made the first inspector general of police nigeria. Kenneth dike, an igbo man was the vice chancellor of university of ibadan, before the war broke out.
Eni njoku was the first vice chancellor of unilag. He was an igbo man. He only stepped down in 1965 less than a year before the coup. Chief louis odumegwu ojukwu, was the richest man in nigeria in 1966, before the coup(to your pains and disappointment) . The old eastern region, had the fastest growing economy in african, as at 1966, not just in nigeria, but the whole of africa. These are verifiable facts and there are many more.

Yes, i get where your coming from. You may think that whatever aguiyi ironsi did was in interest of the collective igbos. But this is not the case. We still dislike him as much as you do.
