He can't help it, he is old and he can't run away from old age challenges.

There is no constitutional requirement that mandates standing up to acknowledge the office of the presidency or governor.

This seems to be Obasanjo's military mindset disposing of his brain. However, as an Omoluabi, even if you have reservations about the conduct of these so-called royal ones, it's usually considered more appropriate to address such concerns privately rather than resort to public ridicule. You do such with decorum, ideally in private conversation.

Historically, he has always appeared to show respect for traditional rulers, and it's regrettable that this may be his lasting legacy in that regard, not whatever longstanding reverence he has always put up.
