I have had reason to discuss with APC supporters who would, under any other giving circumstances, be termed brilliant & logical. But the moment an APC or BAT matter comes up, they seem to lose all sense of reasoning.

What they condemned in other governments suddenly becomes acceptable & if you don't like it, go to hell.

What is obviously bad & against national interest suddenly becomes right & proper.
