Jesus clearly said that his Father is the one true God and Paul confirmed that the Father is the one God for them.
Jesus only claimed to be God's son.
God made Jesus Christ to be lord and Messiah.

These are verses you should argue with everyday of your life.

John 1:1 clearly shows distinction between the word (Jesus) and God (the Father), the word was with God.
