It Will Take Igbos 20-25 Years Of Hard Work To Produce President – Joe Igbokwe by Benwallt(m): 10:15pm On Sep 16, 2023
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Joe Igbokwe, has claimed that it would take the Igbo ethnic group 20–25 years of hard work to produce the president of Nigeria.

Igbokwe made this declaration in response to accusations levelled at his statements on a Facebook post on Friday, September 15, 2023. He also termed Igbo people as “onlookers in the Nigerian project.”

Igbokwe, whose continued romance with the All Progressives Congress has been seen as treachery, bootlicking, sleazy, and unbecoming, took the opportunity to respond to comments regarding the issue on the Facebook post.

“This is the problem. You terrible and pathetic bigots think you are the best God ever created and this is the biggest problem facing Igboland. today.

“Jisienu Ike. Every election year you cry. Play politics. Mbanu. Make friends across Nigeria. Mbanu. Build bridges. Mbanu. We have become onlookers in Nigeria. See 2031 and 2039 are also settled. Continue.

“But know this and have inner peace: it will take any Igbo man 20 -25 years of hard work to produce the president of Nigeria,” he maintained.

Igbokwe also referred to the way he had been branded a saboteur, betrayal and sell-out, liking his situation to what was obtained during the Nigerian civil war. He also said the Igbo were still making the mistakes they made during the civil war.

“We are getting worse by the day and I am worried to the marrows given what I read here. Speak the truth and instantly you become a traitor, saboteur, betrayer, sell out, the kind of stuff we witnessed during the civil war from 1967 to 1970 and Biafra lost many competent, educated and committed Soldiers.

“My take: If you believe that LP won the presidential elections you can believe anything. Shame has enveloped me. Just read the narratives above and you will want to throw up. What has happened to Igbo? We are still making the mistakes we made during the civil war.”

Nonsense talk. The only hindrance to this is our electoral deficiency. Let the election be free and fair and see what will happen.

I Salute all the ethnic groups that produced Presidents who built this Eldorado called Nigeria..... grin A country where all the cities and streets are built with gold unfortunately......how can we progress with this useless mindset, even if Jesus come down to rule Nigeria, Nigeria will happen to him.

Joe Igbokwe is an empty old man. You can never get the attention of Tinubu with this nonsense. They have dropped in both state and federal level.

Please, the ethnic groups that have produced the President since 1970 that the war ended, come tell us what you gained out of it?

Yoruba, Fulani, Ijaw, Gwari, Hausa etc, you produced President, either in military or civilian guise, are you currently enjoying Nigeria better than others? Has producing the President uplifted you?

The North that had produced the most Presidents, they suffer more extreme poverty than the South, they have only two places worthy to be called cities, Kano and Kaduna

Katsina Produced Buhari as President, half of that State is in the hands of bandits, it still holds the record as the state that had the highest number of children abducted by bandits in a single day, while Buhari was visiting

Those of you that have produced President since 1970 the civil war ended, tell us what you benefited from producing President, then after, tell us all how you brought Nigeria to where it is, poverty capital of the world and 8th most insecure country on earth

Brotherly, Tell them.😏

Anyone having this Joe Igbokwe Mentality does NOT have any SENSE. 😕😒

Only FOOLs boast with 'My Tribesman is President'. sad

The Roads in Goodluck Jonathan's village is currently NOT the best you would see,
Neither is Bayelsa state a paradise.🙁

A Peter Obi presidency will not change Anambra and South East to Dubai.

Just as a Tinibu Presidency will NOT turn Irabiji to Paris. 🤨🙁

These old men in the likes of Joe Igbokwe dont know that igbos of this generation are not keen on the presidency. Yes, it may generate some bragging rights, but we have our eyes focused on the bigger picture. Joe Igbokwe, ndi Igbo need more regional development, productive governance back home, and our ultimate unity, both East and South more than anything close to aso rock.

Let Igbos continue to be " “onlookers in the Nigerian project.”' while other tribes who have had their people as Presidents continue to enjoy their world class road networks, schools, healthcare services, 24/7 electricity, low unemployment rate..

Igbos as a people should not waste their next 20–25 years of hard work aiming to produce the president of Nigeria, they should rather channel it to continue building their human capital resources and infrastructure in the South East.

Northwest has produced Shagari, Abacha, Yar'dua and Buhari but going by the data of NBS, the poverty and illiteracy rate in that region is bone chilling......a state from that region some years ago between 20111 and ,2015 was only able to produce 65 indigenes who got admitted to study medicine in Nigerian universities in a particular year while Imo state alone had 1,500 of her indigenes admitted for the same medicine.

Igbokwe should not weep for the Igbos but should weep for himself and his children.

Get out. You are a traitor. You are cursed. See how you keep betraying your people just because of what you want to eat. People like Ogbonaya Onu are members of APC but they spoke truth to powers on the need for power to go to the south east but you could not support him because you are meant for the gutters.
Shame on you.
