Racoon: Some of you cannot even read and understand, must you talk if you don't understand what they are saying. This has nothing to do with NNPC but Tincan Port, and the people running the port are ordinary citizens who are employed at these places. Like i have always maintained, the Directors, GMs and staff at the different government parastatals are more corrupt than the elected/appointed office holders. They understand the system, the permanent staff knows where to steal, who to steal, what to hide, etc. Even if a minister is appointed, no matter how diligent he works, he can never unveil everything, even with rigorous explicit forensic auditing - they still have what they will hide. You can only audit what is recorded, what about the things that have been erased? That's why you will see someone working in a Ministry building mansions, driving exotic cars and you will be wondering if he is dependent on the same minimum wage. I used to know someone that worked at Tincan Port, an ordinary Mechanic, uneducated, see his house, see the big generator he brought from work that year, see the carr he was riding then, Lexus..... Imagine the cars they are sold for 20k, 50k, that's government property as per ceased or properties belonging to the Port Authority. Do not forget, they will submit another budget to the new Minister that they need new computers, generators, cars etc to be able to function optimally, meanwhile, they have sold the previous assets to themselves. If the Minister does not probe them, that will go under the carpet, and another year dispensation will make it untraceable. Do not forget, the new equipment prices will be inflated as well, they will directly or indirectly steal some of the new acquisition. These people willgo to churches and give testimonies. If youthink ordinary Nigerians are not more corrupt than those in power, then you are in for a long thing, the privileged ones to work in certain government offices will prefer to be there for life even with the small salaries, but go and investigate what assets they have acquired secretly, it will amaze you. Before i left Naija, i knew someone also that was working as Manager to the Local govt (Council manager), see his assets home and abroad. The point is, while chairmen are people who are elected into offices, the one who understand the in and out of the council is the Manager. Chairman will come and go after 4 years... 1 Like |

Omo dis people have finished Nigeria, with all this money flying around an average Nigerians could be better off . But few individuals ate the money yet and nothing happened to them. Indeed we are fighting corruption with one eye open and other closed. |

The Comptro-general will not answer you people because he knows your ogas were selected by his oga. That is the bottom line. If you threaten him, he will report you to his oga and his oga will remind your oga who put him there. There is a reason why your independence is your only asset. And your integrity is your only power. Otherwise every other thing is just for show.... show of shame as usual. To the onlookers and the citizens who are being robbed and raped of their patrimony left and right. When you are ready to let go of your sentiment and work this democracy the way it should be, then these events will end. |

stanluiz: It is the peoples loss. There is a reason why governments that are bad are changed. The PDP was changed in 2015 due to poor performance and dire corruption. The APC was retained in 2023 after worse performance and crass corruption. Where is the progress. Nigerians should just get ready for anything they see. |

It is right ripened for the country to be divided so that every region should go their separate way,if you are from the niger delta with proximity to crude oil engage in artisanal refining, you cannot die of hunger when privilege non niger deltans in government are the ones sending their wards to study abroad while persons from the region are dying of hunger. The recent revelation shows an endemic corruption facilitation and selective new approaches in tackling the corruption.Carefully following the appointments by this present administration is revealing and telling.from customs,CBN and what have you. 1 Like |
