Some secret clique have held the destiny of our assets down and the way out may be to build entirely new ones that will force such hands off those old assets. If there was a 5000MW solar or wind farm somewhere, these gas fired plants will be better run.

Same mistake OBJ, Yar'adua and GEJ made by not starting a mega refinery like Dangote's is what we are currently making. Simply switch to renewables and watch those bureaucratic demons hands off.

Lagos alone needs 10000 mw for 24/7 power.

Corruption has messed up the power sector, but all in all, the main issue is that subsidy and the price controls inherent in maintaining a subsidy

Deregulate the power sector, prosecute power thieves and provide a meter for all, and we might get somewhere
