Corruption has messed up the power sector, but all in all, the main issue is that subsidy and the price controls inherent in maintaining a subsidy

Deregulate the power sector, prosecute power thieves and provide a meter for all, and we might get somewhere

Not just corruption, power is highly capital intensive and the money is not there. The little lifeline to the sector is also pilfered away.

• Privatisation has failed, review necessary – stakeholders
• DisCos’ under-payment hits N47b monthly, ATC&C losses at 75%

Despite the despondent state of electricity supply in Nigeria, the Federal Government has spent nothing less than N2.8 trillion to subsidise electricity consumption from 2015 to June, 2023.

Everything crumbling why?
Grabbing power is one thing knowing what to do with it is another. But corruption is the real issue, only a clean man can fight the type generational corruption we have in Nigeria.

The day Nigeria unites against bad leadership, a new Nigeria will spring forth. They loot everything without fear of accountability. While we’re told to pray for the country, their kids are citizens of first world countries. Until everybody sees beyond tribe, we shall remain stagnant. Sorry, we’re worse than stagnant at the moment

If you were running a business selling bread that you bought at N1500 a loaf at N500 a loaf, plus one third of your customers do not pay for the bread they buy, and you have to take loans to keep up, would it thive?

Revolution is nice, but at the end, for a business to work, profit must be made

I don't understand Nigerians. How could this be achieved if billions is wasted on feul subsidy to the neglect of other sectors?
The railway projects and many other under Buhari were funded by loans.
How can you say Tinubu should continue this way and still expect any changes?
I am not attacking you for your comment just to give a little perspective as to why nothing seems to work.

Even if subsidy is removed, the level of corruption on ground that can even defy judiciary will not allow the results kick in. It will only be looted and recirculated between few

It would be much more if there was no subsidy.
