to me, Lust is short-duration desire that is very strong, but Love is lond-duration desire that is at first weak then later may be it becomes strong. Lust is quite stronger initially but later love is either stronger or weaker than lust. hope my definition makes sense? |

Most times Lust is stronger and plays more vital role. i.e in a sexual relationship. but in an ordinary relationship its just about Love. @niggabobo, u got it wrong lust is not short lived. most times wat really get u attracted to the opposite is hie or her shape, the colour, the back and front size, it this not simply Lust but it helps. Lust is stronger because people in today's world do not understand the true essence of love. It also explains why people spend years and decades looking for something that is not realistic like perfect wife or husband. When one go into reality with expectations then their world become fiction because they are living in a lie instead of facing the truth. Some people will mistake the first great date or meet as the epitome of their relationship for years to come. Instead of getting to know each other in a timely fashion and weighing all the goods and deal breakers and taking reality for what it is and not what it should be. For those reasons alone, lust are stronger than love and last rather quickly. |

The strength of a thing is usually measured by its durability. Following that assumption lust is very weak compared to love. Certainly lust once fulfilled ceases to exist whereas love is durable. Therefore lust is not stronger than love. |
