Nigeria Is Not A Nation But A State Held Together At Gunpoint - Prof. Akinwale (Video)

During an interview, Fr. Anthony Alaba Akinwale, OP, professor of Theology and Vice Chancellor at the Dominican University in Ibadan, Nigeria, said that Nigeria is not a nation because according to him, Nigeria has no shared core values.

He asks, "What are other thing that brings Nigeria together apart from the Super Eagles?" He said Nigeria needs to identify her shared core values in order to start building a nation. He said that at the moment Nigeria is just a state held together at gunpoint, where the leaders are powerful than the masses.

Our shared values are Niger Delta oil/gas and corruption.

Many Nigerian states cannot run without Abuja handouts. Politicians know this.

Nigeria would be poorer than Niger Rep if not for oil and gas.

This!

This is the ONLY way Nigeria can work, if we are to remain as "one".

True. They shared trillions in one part under the pretext of anchor borrower scheme and covid palliative, expecting the cheated part to repay with their future resources after sharing the present one.

Shut up, hypocr!te

You disagree with him because your tribesman is now in power, but agreed with him when Jonathan was there.

Bloody hypocr!tes! There's nothing each tribe has in common with the other, and there's no other country anywhere in the world with such degree of anomaly.

And the country will never make any headway existing with that anomaly

SPARE ME THIS BULLCRAP.

Name me ONE COUNTRY that is not “held together by gunpoint.”

Is it UK?

Is it US?

Is it China?

In the US alone, there are over 50 secessionist groups agitating to leave.

If you disbelieve, Google ‘US secessionist groups’.

Is it India with multiple separatist groups?

Is it UK?

Without the British Army maintaining the status quo, there would be NOTHING like the ‘United Kingdom’.

Who united them? You think they came together and voluntarily decided to form a nation?

Hell no!

It was pure English brigandage and warfare that ‘united them’.

In the ‘United’ Kingdom, when England loses in soccer, the entire Scotland celebrates, as does Ireland and Wales.

They actually throw PARTIES to celebrate England’s loss, especially when they’ve been eliminated from a major tournament like the World Cup or Euros.

Is it Russia?

Remove their army and see how fast they will disintegrate.

There is hardly any country today that you will remove the military and everyone will still remain in line and not seek autonomy and independence.

This so-called professor needs to improve his grasp on modern nations instead of polluting the discourse with silliness and cheap rhetoric.
