Everyone has a bad day at work. Players are not exempted. Whatever on-field skirmishes he had with teammates and staff shouldn't warrant what media treatment he got. Both parties have however come out to address the misunderstanding. But he still has a right to decide what decisions to make differently going forward, including refusing to take penalties. That should not in any way be misconstrued for pettiness or pride.
