In recognition of his immense contributions to the music industry, Governor Mark Dayton of US State of Minnesota on 26th September, 2018 declared the 6th of October every year as the City’s Wizkid Day.

Wizkid’s Rise to Stardom
Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun on July 16, 1990, in Lagos, Nigeria, Wizkid’s journey to stardom is nothing short of remarkable. He began his musical career at the age of 11, singing in his local church choir. His talent quickly became evident, and by the time he was a teenager, he was already making waves in Nigeria’s music scene.

Wizkid’s breakthrough came in 2010 with his debut album, “Superstar.”
