During the NYSC online registration, there are two categories of prospective corps members that will register:

1. Foreign Students and
2. Home trained Students.

NYSC Documents for foreign Students needed to take to cyber Cafe are as follow:

1. International Passport
2.Degree or HND Certificate ( original not the statement of result.)
3. O'Level result(Original from Waec office)
4. Passport photograph
5. Evaluation letter ( for those that are yet to be evaluated)
6. Resident permit to study in the country.

The only documents Nigerian Trained graduate should upload is "passport photograph " and requirements will be input

married women, must upload the following to make NYSC post you to where your husband reside;
1. Marriage Certificate

Good evening Please I need your opinion. I graduated from a polytechnic. If the name on my ND certificate is Faith Mimi Tawa while the name on my HND certificate and every other documents is Faith Tawa Mimi(which is actually the correct arrangement), is it going to affect me when I get to camp?

What Next After NYSC Camp? What you must do after camp

After NYSC orientation camp what next? This is a question many Corps members ask begging for answers. In this post, I will show you 3 things you should do after NYSC orientation camp.

After NYSC orientation camp, next is to collect your posting letter from your platoon officer. Your posting letter will tell you where you have been posted to or been uploaded to your dashboard, where to carry out the National assignment.

NOTE:

if you're successful relocated, goto the new state secretariat for documentation. As soon as possible.

Information will be on your relocation letter approval.

After NYSC orientation camp, you will see some people that will travel back to homes, some to their places of primary assignment and some others will just be stranded.

DO NOT travel after NYSC camp unless you have been relocated to other state, gists for relocated corp members will come up later.

After NYSC camp what next?

Here is what next after NYSC Orientation Camp;

1. Report to your PPA

The first thing to do after NYSC camp is to go to your Place of Primary Assignment (PPA). But if you get relocation while in camp, then go to the NYSC State Secretariat in the new state the relocate you for documentations.

However, if you don’t meet up to report in your PPA, you can lodge in Corpers’ lodge or any religious body corpers Lodge, and report the following day in the morning.

Please, make sure you collect your posting letter from your camp platoon officer before leaving NYSC camp
because you need to report to your PPA with your posting letter.

Note: When you take your posting letter to your PPA, they will either accept or reject you. If they reject or accept you, they will write it on the detachable part of the letter. because you need to report to your PPA with your posting letter.

So, whether they accept or reject you, you should take the document the employer will give you to your Local Govt Inspector (LGI). Contact on your posting letter

Tips: Make one photocopy of your posting letter before taking it to your PPA.

Example; If your PPA is a secondary school, the principal of the school will stamp the detachable part of your posting letter, and then write either “Accepted” or “Rejected”

Whether you are accepted or rejected, remember to take the detachable form to your LGI’s office for reg

2. Report to your LGI Office

This is actually the second step to take. After reporting to your PPA, you will be given a letter that shows whether you are accepted or rejected.

You are to submit the letter to the NYSC Zonal Office or the office of LGI depending on the distance between the Zonal office and the LGI office.

Note: If you are rejected in your PPA, DO NOT proceed to the step 3 until you get another PPA

. In most cases your LGI or Zonal Inspector will repost you to another PPA or you find PPA for yourself.

3. Enjoy your 2-week leave

Official maximum leave use to be 2 weeks. ....

After you have completed steps 1 and 2, the next is to enjoy your 2-week leave. You can use your leave opportunity to travel home and meet your people.

*NYSC camp requirements for registration (Compulsory)*

The documents below are Compulsory (If you arrive in the NYSC camp with none of them, you will not be registered by the camp officials)
*1. Final year ID card*

You need to go with the original and two (2) photocopies. To get a ‘final year ID card’, go to the Directorate of Students’ Affairs in your school, and a request for one. NYSC also accepts School ID Card instead of final year ID card. But will not accept departmental ID card.

*2. Statement of result (B. SC or HND)*

You need to go with the original and four (4) photocopies of your Degree or HND statement of result. If you have the original certificate itself, better. But if you don’t, just go with the statement of result.

If you do not have your statement of result, do not go to the NYSC camp. For foreign trained graduates, you must present the original certificate itself.

Besides that, persons who graduated from Polytechnic within Nigeria should go with both ND and HND statement of results.

Medical Doctors, Pharmacists, Optometrists or other medical profession, should go to camp along with the original of registration certificate with the Nigerian Medical Council, Pharmacist Board or Optometrist Registration Council and evidence of completion of houseman-ship or internship.

*3. NYSC Call-up letter*

Never forget your call-up letter! You need to go with the original and four (4) photocopies. NYSC will send this letter to you a few days after online registration.

Please, DO NOT laminate your call-up letter because NYSC will reject a laminated copy.

*4. NYSC Green card*

Please, do not forget your Green Card. Go with the original and four (4) photocopies. Green Card is the online print-out slip after NYSC online registration. Also, Do NOT laminate it!

Note: the Green Card and call-up letter are to be printed out in colored.

*5. Recent passport photograph*

Please, go with eight ( copies. The background color should be white or off-white. Don’t listen to anyone that says you should go with over eight copies.

*6. Medical Certificate of Fitness*

Go with two (2) copies of a medical certificate of fitness got from any government hospital or military clinic in Nigeria.

*7. Uploaded Documents*

Foreign trained graduates should go to camp with the original of all documents they uploaded during online registration.

This is a slip all PCM will fill on their respective dashboard and print out as they will come along to camp with it*

*NYSC camp requirements (Essential)*

Things listed below are not compulsorily needed in NYSC camp but they are essential for personal comforts.

If you really want to enjoy NYSC camp, consider going to camp with things listed below;

*8. White round-necked T-shirts*

This outfit is worn everyday throughout the 21-days stay in the NYSC camp. NYSC will give you only 2, but these two are of poor quality and may not size you. Also, you may not enjoy wearing only 2 shirts for 3 weeks in camp that you will stay in camp.

*9. White shorts*

NYSC will also give you 2 pairs of shorts, but of poor quality and may not size you. You need like extra pairs so as not to be stranded if it tears.

*10. White tennis shoes & white socks*

NYSC will provide this, but it’s advisable you get an extra one pair for yourself.

*11. Tea or beverages*

This is very important for those who would not like the camp watery tea. Some people collect camp tea and then add some spoons from their own tea to make it tick.

*12. Toiletries*

Antiseptics, insecticides, towel, sanitary pads, pampas, etc. These are essential to help protect you from infections and skin infections.

*13. Mosquitoes Net is very important in NYSC camp*

This is very important, I know you wouldn’t like to go to camp and fall sick. Mosquitoes net will protect you from mosquitoes and other camp insects. Take one net with you and rope to tie it to your bunk.

*14. You need Some cash in NYSC camp*

You need to go to camp with some cash, there are too many things that cost money in camp. Things like, food, charging phone, taking pictures, laundries, etc.

Also, go with at least N20,000, and also with your ATM card, because there are ATMs in some camp.

*14. Torchlight in NYSC camp*

Don’t say you will use your phone touch! Torchlight is important; make sure you buy rechargeable ones.

*15. You will need Waist Pouch in NYSC camp*

Waste bag or pouch is essential. This will serve as your money keeper, and also as a locker for important items such as phones, money, ID card, keys, ATM cards, and more.

*16. Padlocks* is important in NYSC camp
You need a padlock to lock your boxes and bags to prevent camp thieves from gaining access to your properties.

There are many people who lost many valuable things to the NYSC camp thieves. I know you wouldn’t want to fall a victim.

*17.Your phone and power bank in NYSC camp*

This is important for communication. If you don’t have a power bank or cell phone, please get one.

*18. Other essential things need in NYSC camp*

You can buy other things like bed sheets, pillow, bucket and other big things from mammy market (camp market) to avoid overloading yourself.

Even if you graduate at age 40 your name will be on senate list, but after NYSC registration you’ll be and issued exemption letter instead of going to camp. But if the date on your certificate is below or exact 30 you’ll go for NYSC. Do you get that?

If you graduated before you crossed 30 you are good to go.

HOW CAMP REGISTRATION IS DONE ✅

1.Immediately you get to camp, you start your registration. Get out your original document listed above

2. Show them your medical fitness and ID card at the entrance gate

3. Proceed to the ICT and that’s is where the main document validation is done.

4. Present your original Copy of your statement of result, your green card, your call up letter, your passport photograph

Married female pcm, foreign pcm and Medical student are to present some extra documents which they uploaded during registration ✅✅✅

6. ICT staff will go through them manually to check for errors and validity

7. Once checked and confirmed to match your details on their database, you will thumb print immediately.

That thumb print stands for your first two month’s clearance

8. A state code will be assigned to you immediately and you will be cleared.

9. From there you can proceed to the bank opening procedure and kit collection✅

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS ERRORS OR DOCUMENTS ARENT VALID?

Once your documents are checked and they notice errors, you start having problem immediately

Registration is stopped immediately and you have to rectify the problem on camp or go back to your institution to rectify it.

Possible issue are:

Probs: Name spelling errors on statement of result or call up letter
Solution: Go back to school to correct
Possible outcome: Resolve it and go back to camp or wait till next stream


Probs: Age issues, they may look at you and say you are above the age of service
Solution: present your waec result to them for DOB validation
Possible outcome: accept your evidence or decamp you if they notice you reduced age.

Probs: Thumbprint not capturing during biometric
Solution: go back home and recapture during next registration


Probs: Course dichotomy, this is for Polytechnic graduates who has different courses on their ND and HND

Solution: both documents must be same course of study meaning PCM will go back to school to resolve the issue.


Probs: Fake statements of result
Solution: Decamping

95% of Corp members won’t have issues normally though during camp registration

ONLINE REGISTRATION TIPS
1. NYSC Registration Portal is open, visit (nysc.org.ng) and click on the active link to register.
2. If you are registering for the first time, click on "Fresh Registration" link.
If you were deployed in previous Batches and did not report to camp, click on "Revalidation link" to revalidate.
3. If you have registered previously and did not complete your Registration, click "Login Here" to continue your Registration with your Username and Password.
4. Do not thumbprint by proxy.
Digital Persona U.are.U 4500 fingerprint reader is the specification for thumb print.

5. Upload a clear passport photograph properly dressed. Note that the uploaded passport photograph will be on your Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate. Do not upload passport putting on NYSC crested vest Passport Photograph cannot be changed after Camp Registration.
6. Apply for Name Correction, spelling errors and rearrangement.
7. Date of Birth, Date of Graduation and Course of Study will be on Certificate of National Service and Exemption Certificate.

Just go to the state secretariat where you were serving or if your LGI is reasonable, you can meet him/her and explain yourself. He/she will definitely tell what you are going to do. But the main thing is that you’re going to continue from where you stopped.

*Just as announced by the new DG in the last workshop, Any medical fitness everyone is bringing to camp must show a proof of been vaccinated for *CEREBROSPINAL MEIGNETIS, any medical fitness without it will not be accepted in camp*.
*It has been updated on your various portals for you to know how serious it is, those that will still register will also see it on theirs when they register*.
