when jerusalem was destroyed in 70ad the romans carried away the jews and sold them Into slavery the rest where scattered abroad and have mixed away with the rest of the world. the roman emperors repopulated the land with foreign settlers and renamed the area as palastina and from there came the name palestine. the last remaining jews in europe where chased away in 1492, they where chased out of europe into africa together with the moors.
