Frederick Forsythe in his book on the Nigerian Civil War written in 1969 clearly stated that Emeka Ojukwu's father sold the Iru Island (alternatively called Victoria Island) lands he leased from the Yoruba indigenes. He then resold it to the British colonialists to become a millionaire after relocating to live in Lagos from the North. This was after Emeka Ojukwu (whose mother is from Calabar) was born in the North.

So, the Ojukwu family of Nnewi (where Ifeanyi Ubah is also from) benefited financially from living in Yorubaland and the North of Nigeria (Zungeru in Niger State) as well.

There's a section of Nnewi to Oba old road that got damaged cause of poor drainage system and this man used it for his campaign during his first term election and during this current term election.
