Some members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oluku ward today dump party for the People Democratic Party (PDP), in an enlarged meeting held today in Oluku where all leadership and members of the PDP were present, some of the decampees who were very active members of the APC were introduced to the general house by the PDP Chairman in the ward, Mr. Omonuwa,

While speaking, the decampees said they could no longer hold back nor deceive themselves owing to the economic realities that is currently bitting hard on them.

They lamented the sufferings the bad economic policies of the past and present APC led Federal governments have led the people into since the past 8 years and 6 months, they said that, they can no longer live up to their expectations and meet with their family needs due to the harsh economy situation in the country, they regretted ever joining APC, they described the PDP as a party of justice, development and progress.

In his response Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian thanked the former APC members for their wise decisions, he said; "I am happy to see those who were our political rivals at the election polling units now seating amongst us as part of us", the Majority leader described them as good heads that know what is good, he added that the good leadership qualities of Governor Godwin Obaseki will surely lead the PDP to victory come 2024, he mentioned some of the achievements of Governor Obaseki in the constituency which includes; the Ekosodin road, the ongoing 19th streets that would climax at the Asoro bus stop in Ekehuan road and many others, he he revealed that the Governor has layed a very good and strong foundation that the next Governor will build on, he enjoined the decampees to go and fish more men and women for the the party.

The decampees include; Mr. Emmanuel Ogbeche former APC PRO-Oluku ward, Osazuwa Andrew, Unit head and ward leader, Mr. Nosa Ugie former SA to the Governor and their numerous followers. Leaders who were on ground to received the decampees were the Majority leader, Edo State House of Assembly Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian, the ward Chairman of the party Mr. Omonuwa a.k.a. "Rector", Special Adviser to the Speaker. Edo State House of Assembly Mr. George Omobude, former 3 times Councillor Hon. Monday Igbinoba, former Commissioner, EDSOPADEC Mrs. Omosede Obamwonyi, Leader of the legislative arm Ovia North-East Hon. Omoruyi Igbinake, former SSA to Governor Mr. Osazee Uwaifo and a host of other ward leaders.

Highlight of the meeting was the issuing of party cards to the new entrants by Hon. Charity Aiguobarueghian,Esq.

The funny thing is when all these MOUs were signed, the governor was in the APC. But today, Edos have not seen one product or benefit of all these 'projects' listed.
