Raskimonojendor: Most of these Niger Delta states are a constant reminder that having lots of money to spend is important, but judicious use of resources is more important. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

They should bring private auditors to verify how they're sharing this allocation. Where are the oil Wells in Ondo for them to be receiving such amount? These people are very tribalistic in nature, they would manipulate those figures if they're not checked. 1 Like |

Yet Bayelsa cannot pay 30k minimum wage. The Nigerian project failed no doubt. All-round failure. Before being too harsh, let's not forget the auditor general who pocketed N15B from NDDC allocation. |

JustYourself: Yes, you receive based on the percentage oil wells in your locality contribute to the sharing pool. The figures keep changing from time to time. However, the states of the South South are the highest. Everyone should be worried about Delta and Bayelsa States. |

Not much Buhari him self spent way above 80tn naira. Where's the improvement? Many state governments used this for recurrent budget in guise of job creation thereby increasing the ever encumbering payroll. It's time we increase capital expenditure that stimulate the local economy and built relevant infrastructure though I understand how relative they might be. |

The oil producing states are supposed to have the best road network and lots of social amenities. But here we are, most of them are the least developed. Meanwhile I'm an experience driver in Lagos. I need a car to drive on uber/bolt for weekly remittance. Please if you have a car for me, quote me or check contact on my profile. |

Wetin Bayelsa dey really use their own money do? With just 8 Local Governments and about 2million people, receiving 813billion in 8 years as Derivation alone, not statutory FAAC allocation, that state should be swimming in El dorado by now. Why are they consistently having terrible governors? What are their leaders doing with their money for heaven’s sake? Bayelsa matter suppose turn matter of urgent national importance. Where did over 800billion go in 8 years for fork’s sake? |

Honestly it's time this money stopped going direct to the governors. There should be a Oil derivation fund for each state. Fund managers should include state govt officials, representatives from labour, traditional institutions etc. The projects executed by the funds in each state should be transparent to all. Right now the money is just vanishing in a corruption filled black hole 1 Like |
