Lemme make u guys laugh …. So while they were begging for their property not to be removed from the canal path since 2020, Another “developer” quickly rushed to erect his own property on the same path (marked red), Hoping that Lagos State Government will look away when the building is fully built, people have mind in this country. Anyways the Commissioner @tokunbo_wahab will remove everything on the path, so that the water can flow into the Ikota river and reduce the massive flooding of the axis. The curved part at the bottom of this picture is what they did to bend the canal and force it into a “gutter” 😀😀

Once again …. NOBODY will ‘approve’ this place for you to build on, This is insane. Always do your due diligence before building or buying land, and for some people that want to build inside all these “estates” of nowadays, Pls don’t take ‘assurance’ most especially word of mouth from the so called Estate association, Get your proper approval from the Lagos State Government.

I don't know why but I actually think it's beautiful. I think the developers shouldn't have filled it with sand instead pile concrete to allow the easy flow of water underneath their properties. Good development jare. Let them be regulated jare.

even with that, people still go ahead and build, when they re later marked for demolition, they start complaining and start using all sort of tribal and religious sentiment.
