The Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has reported what it called a minor fire outbreak at the cooling tower of Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited (WRPC) in Warri, Delta State.

In a statement posted on its X handle (formerly Twitter) and signed by the NNPCL Management Friday night, the oil company said the fire outbreak, which ocurred at about 3pm on Friday afternoon, was put out after about 30 minutes, adding that the incident will not affect the ongoing refinery rehabilitation project and delivery schedule.

“This afternoon, at about 15:02hrs, there was a minor fire incident at the cooling tower of Warri Refinery and Petrochemical Company Limited (WRPC).

“The fire which occurred as a result of ongoing welding activity at the top of the cooling tower will not affect the refinery rehabilitation project delivery schedule.

“NNPC Limited safety officers at the Refinery acted immediately and put out the fire at about 15:30hrs; normalcy has since been restored.

“NNPC Limited will continue to adhere to the best safety standards in all its business operations,” the statement said

Use of substandard materials and negligence are the main reasons why a refinery that has not yet started operations will be on fire

Anybody can actually do well.

Lagos is rich but Nigeria is broke
You can loot 1 billion in lagos and replace it in two days via the taxes.
If you loot Nigeria you can not replace it

Now he came to Nigeria started saying na statistics we go chop.

There you have it.

With this, they've already announced now why the refinery is not going to work as at when they said it is going to work.

Excuses are being generated to prevent the commissioning in December. If you voted for this party without values, I hope you have enough resources to cater for you and yours. Winter is coming!

There's no record that the refinery is producing, with all the turn around maintenance, NNPCL recorded zero production. What made the cooling system cut fire when it's not producing? Some questions needs to be answered

Our Refineries are Financial Sinkholes.
Billions are spent monthly on salaries & overhead costs with zero output.

Read. Welding works on the cooling tower caused the fire
