PDP Kicks-Off Campaign In Kogi Ahead Of Guber poll

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today kicked off the campaign in Kogi State ahead of the November 11 Governorship Election in the state.

The party's gubernatorial candidate for the poll, Sen. Dino Melaye, was joined by PDP leaders across the country, including the acting national chairman, Umar Damagum, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Osun Governor, Ademola Adeleke, and others.

Hon. Habiba Muhammed is the running mate of Dino Melaye in the forthcoming Kogi Gubernatorial election. She was once a member of Kogi State House of Assembly, Chief Whip, and a PDP former House of Representatives Candidate. Before politics, she served in Kogi State Board of Internal Revenue and later served as Assistant Inventory Officer, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Lokoja Office. She is a proper grassroot mobilizer and has all the necessary experience to deliver a greater Kogi alongside Dino Melaye. Vote PDP, Vote Dino Melaye.

Being a 'balanced chairperson' or a devil's advocate' was not much better. There are certainly some occasions when either one or the other has its merits. Sen. Dino Melaye, has tried to educates the kogites not presently but for many years back on the positive direction to change kogi story. He always said that " A moment of information is a moment of transformation" which means that many of our people know not the current condition of security, education, roads, hospitals, and other basic needs of the kogites. The present govt have no manifestos to present to the kogites although there have been non for the past eight years. Sen. Dino knows the needs of kogites. Before this day, pdp have tried their best for kogites by providing many social amenities across the entire wards in kogi state. This is real and it can be checked. Through sen. Dino Melaye kogi state will be more placed in a better position to compete with other serious state and this will eradicate the level of poverty among our people. Pdp power.

*I Will Not Kill, Steal — Dino Melaye Promises To Lead With Fear Of God If Elected Governor*

The Kogi State governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Senator Dino Melaye, has promised residents that he will govern with the fear of God if he is elected as governor in the state’s forthcoming November 11 poll.

Melaye gave the assurance Tuesday during the PDP rally in Okene, Kogi state.

He was in company of party stalwarts including the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, and a host of others.

*“I’m going to be a governor with the fear of God. If you have the fear of God, you will not kill or steal,”* the senator said.

Explaining his policy document for the state, Melaye promised to pay full salaries and provide adequate security in the state if elected.

“I want to assure you that Dino Melaye will pay full salaries. Those who have been sacked for no reason, our government will restore you back to the workforce,” he said.

On agriculture, Melaye assured his administration will introduce mechanised and plantation farming as well as build farm houses while employing graduates to run the agricultural sector.

“We are going to recruit our graduates and give them hectares of land with new technological means of farming,” he promised.

He added his administration will make sure that all the state’s mineral resources will be used for the benefit of the people.

“We are going to invest immensely in tourism. By the grace of God, we are going to restore back the Ajaokuta steel,” the senator added, urging the people to vote out the ruling All Progressives Congress and its candidate.

Melaye, who accused the APC of impoverishing the state, said: “We are here today to celebrate the political obituary of the APC in Kogi state.”

Melaye will be slugging it out with the ruling APC’s guber candidate, Usman Ododo, and the Social Democratic Party’s flagbearer, Murtala Ajaka, among others.
