The US was so utterly routed that they fled Afghanistan leaving behind a lot of their sophisticated weapons, which the talibans are now using.
In heavily populated built-up Gaza tanks aren't hardly useful and any ground invasion will be very, very bloody for both sides with spine-chilling casualty figures. It's going to be brutal hand-to-hand fighting with every inch of Gaza fought over because hamas fighters know that may be their last stand. The isrealis know this that's why they're foot dragging on entering Gaza and are resorting to propaganda about killing hamas top leaders. It may not be just hamas, other Gazans may take a stand and join the fight for survival in their homeland because there's nowhere else to go.
Let's hope that sanity prevails over hamas/ultra orthodox jew extremism so that things don't get out of hand.
