Why will it take 6 years before the federal government awards the contract to repair a collapsed bridge? I even thought we have Federal legislators from every state all living close to the federal government in Abuja there, why must the state government force their hands before they do the right thing? It's a failure of government, not the governors fault.

Representation in a democracy is for things like this, the area this road and bridge is located has a HOR member and a senator, and it shouldn't be SUVs that we elected them to go and drag in Abuja.

why will they force federal government hands? How about states that are fixing and constructing federal roads.

how about meaningful contributions to posts here. A bridge has collapsed, and the author is saying it has caused trailers to take detours to using inner roads within the state, and this is taking a toll on the roads. My take is that the FG should quickly fix the bridge so things can go back to normal. Banning trailers from using the inner roads doesnt make sense. Some of those trucks plying the roads belong to the people of Enugu so how would you stop the people from accessing a facility built with their money? Doesn't seat well with me.

There is a different between a concrete jungle and a serene city, Enugu is beautiful because of it serenity, trees compliment cities, this the different between eastern cities like Owerri and enugu ans calabar and western cities like those concrete jungles in south west.

They should have carried out an assessment on the second lane bridge and allowed traffic to use one lane,to stop the madness inside town.
