Endtimes: Why We Should Pray More Fervently Now Than We've Ever Done

Prayer isn't meant to be a seasonal thing.

It ought to be done always, that is, in and out of season.

However there are those times that call for more fervent prayers than was usually done.

There were several instances that illustrate this in the Bible, but the most significant without a doubt was when Jesus was about to take the plunge for humanity. It was said that Jesus was so troubled by this, He prayed more fervently that even His sweat became as great drops of blood.

And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

This was the first time anything was said to have really troubled Jesus during the course of His ministry on Earth, but it shouldn't be surprising because that was the most important moment in Jesus' ministry. The moment He was going to fulfil the purpose He was sent.

John 12:27 (KJV)

Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.

So such pivotal moments in God's grand scheme of things were observed to have required more fervent prayers than was usually done, which brings us to the purpose of this thread which will addressed in the next post.

Going by the signs, It's beyond glaring that we're fast approaching a pivotal moment in the history of this world called the endtimes.

I don't think there has ever been a time in history where so many strange things were happening at once at different places in the world it's hard to catch up.

The most interesting part is that these things were happening exactly as was foretold in the Bible concerning the beginning of sorrows in the endtimes.

Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Jesus said when we see these things being fulfilled, we should know that we were in the last days.

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Hence Jesus warned us to watch and pray always so we would not be taken unawares when the day suddenly comes.

Luke 21:34-36 (KJV)

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

That's why we ought to pray now more fervently than ever because we're in the very days Jesus warned us about.

These things have been happening since forever

So-called "Signs of the End time" in the book of Mark 13 which many Christians are always talking about are either too vague or redundant or signs right now actually point to the opposite. Let's examine them, shall we?

1. Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and will deceive many.

The problem with the above "sign" is that there's absolutely NO Messiah that's claimed to be "he" and gathered massive following at least not recently

2. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Not only is the above "sign" totally redundant since there's always been "nation/kingdom against nation/kingdom" even in the time of Jesus but also objective signs point to the fact that the world is actually getting MORE PEACEFUL and historians say this period is the most peaceful humanity has ever been

3. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines.

This is also redundant cuz earthquakes has been happening since time immemorial before and after Jesus, also this civilisation and enlightenment combined with humanitarian aids has ensured the devastation wrought by earthquakes are now more manageable than ever; also, Jesus also seemed not to be aware of Earthquakes happening on other planets; Famine? that's also redundant cuz The most terrible famines in history are past famines with the most recent being the North Korea famine which happened in 1994

4. Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.

This is also redundant as it has always been happening even before Jesus reportedly said they're signs of endtime


as we can see, these verses are redundant or vague.

Jesus said the destruction of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem in AD 70 was the end-time. And immediately after this event they will see him coming down from the clouds.
