okoro:Why not engage with Ipob terrorists in Imo state..... These military men and police are so wicked.... Collecting money from citizens..... Before T fare from Umuahia to Uturu was 1000 but now its 1500 because drivers need to settle the military and police checkpoints (including FRSC) on the road while in the North you hardly find any road blocks designated by the military, police or FRSC.... This is simply intimidation tactics... UGM is in the bushes of Imo, why not attack them in such bushes..... Bunch of hypocrites. |

Superwave16320:Shut up you tribalistic pig... Do you have up to 2 check points in your area..... Over there it's 10 check points between Umuahia and Imo state. Each manned by corrupt police and military that you must appease with mani. |

Shut up op, passed through these checkpoints this year. This is very necessary unless you got something to hide. Had a chat with a few of them, they are very friendly. |

Nigerian soldiers often lack tact and common sense. Everything is still done with the brain power and intelligence gathering of 1912. Crude , barbaric and unevolved are the words I can describe the Nigeria army |

Onitsha to Owerri is the same thing. It has been on for more than two years now maybe you are just new on the road. Last two years once it's 6pm before you reach Umuahia, you have to pack and wait till 8pm before the road will be open again. Sometimes I don't blame them because we brought this upon ourselves. Always weigh the consequence of your actions before you embark on it. |

You guys in Alaigbo should better brace up for this challenge as the present security measure is going to be in place for a very long time until sanity prevails in the South East. Those who are complaining now are the same people who usually jubilate and chestbeat each time a police station is attacked or a unit of military patrol team is cowardly ambushed ! Take it or leave it,this is just the begining as more stringent measures are coming; terrorists won't have any control over an inch of the Nigeria's territories. For the innocents igbos who have to face this challenge, sorry, it's for your own good and there is no other alternative. But as for you terrorists apologists who litter this space, just tell your IPOB gang of criminals to come out of their hidings and face the nemesis that's waiting for them ! And let me add this;those of you igbos who are accommodating runaway IPOB terrorists in Lagos, trust me,your names and other data are being compiled. You have no idea what you fools are setting yourselves up for;you, your business, your properties and everything you might have achieved here in Lagos will be destroyed ! Mind you, this is not limited to Lagos alone;you guys are being carefully watched in every part of the South West/Yorubaland. Take this as a friendly hint. |

I've experienced this & it's an exaggeration to claim it adds an extra hour to scheduled trips; the entire process takes +/- 5 minutes. Secondly, this was common practice in most parts of the North (prior to 2015 & still in force till date in some parts of the North) & ICIR didn't do a report on it & if they did, I didn't see it; let's not reinforce this "victim mentality". While it's uncomfortable making people to disembark/embark from their vehicles while approaching military check points, most reasonable people know this only happens in hotspots (and we can't deny the Southeast isn't one of the hottest spots at the moment in Nigeria). You want to stop disembarking from your vehicles at military check points, stop killing yourselves and other security agents just because you want to pass a "message" to the government; the Northeast/Northwest toed the same foolish path in the North just because they despised GEJ; today, they've been dispersed in their millions, turned to refugees in their own countries & other neighboring countries, their homes & livelihoods destroyed etc yet, the man they aimed to spite is flourishing & living a peaceful & prosperous life! |

Supremos:Nigeria doesn't have real soldiers. These are cowards operating with fear instead of a good security strategy. Even in the north where Boko Haram and bandits and Fulani herdsmen and Iswap are killing them in their hundreds, they don't do this. |

This is what we wanted. I was strongly against the establishment of ESN, now see where it has landed us. The federal government has been looking for opportunity to monitor economic growth in the region now they av gotten one. Mnamdi Kalu is a calamity upon Igbos. I knew it would come to this point. God help our region |
Re: Soldiers In South-East Force Travellers To Alight From Vehicles At Checkpoints by Rubicon80: 2:20pm On Oct 30, 2023 |
Sorry bro he is not being bias, when ESN was given weapons to sack all the federal security Agencies didn't know it would end like this. Today we are not only fighting the federal security bodies but we are killing our brothers. |
