Nigerian Leaders Not Thinking Sacrifice But Survival — Sam Adeyemi by iwaeda: 8:13am On Nov 02, 2023
THE Senior Pastor of Daystar Christian Centre, Sam Adeyemi, yesterday, identified lack of sacrifice by Nigerian leaders as one of the major reasons for slow development in the country.

Adeyemi, who is also a strategic leadership consultant, spoke on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily programme.

He harped on the need for leaders to map out a long-term development plan which would be embraced by their followers, stressing that nobody can change Nigeria in four or eight years.

According to him, most Nigerians want development and that is why the people and the leaders need to develop the country to be like those nations Nigerians are migrating to.

The leadership consultant said that there must be a discussion among Nigerians about where they want Nigeria to be, adding that it must start with dusting the report of the 2014 National Conference and carrying out some of the recommendations in it.

He said: “What drives people in leadership now is money, rather than making sacrifices for the country, leaders look for how to make money and thereby stunt the nation’s development.

“Nigerians are not foolish, the survival instinct is the strongest, the people you are asking to collaborate, and the only collaboration that makes sense to them is how they make more money. All the contracts going out of the MDAs, Ministries, Departments and Agencies, even the oversight functions for the National Assembly, it is money driving it.

“That is why vision is very important as a leader. You have to sell that idea, transfer that idea to people’s hearts about where we are going and how we will get there and it’s that where we are going to that will give motivation to people to sacrifice.

The people in leadership need to make sacrifices now but I promise you most people in leadership now are not thinking sacrifice, they are thinking survival.

Honestly I'm disappointed in Tinubu.

He should know that all the people that voted for him didn't vote out of Tribalism but out of his capacity.

Its only someone that voted him out of Tribalism that wouldn't have problem with the way things are currently going.

If you didn't see the crook for the criminality in him, you are one of those blinded by tribal hate. A typical Nigerian that will be hoping that an armed robber will somehow change and become his Saviour just because the armed robber is his brother.

Keep believing, we will all be here in 2031so you can vote another drug addict.

Don't blame the leaders, blame the stupid masses that keeps on collecting crumbs from them and doing their bidding.

It's a case of a man stealing a billion naira and giving you 10k.... And you're ready to die for the man.

Lol.... A legislator introduced a bill that lawmakers children should only sch in within Nigeria, because if your child is schooling within Nigeria you'll develop the sch and schs would be more secured because you control d security of d country....d bill also include patronising Nigeria for medical care

Nigerian legislators rejected that bill on d guise of its against their fundamental human rights..... But when it's time for them to steal money it's not against their human right... When it's time for them to allocate chunks of money to buy new cars, its not against their human rights...

I hear new one yesterday dem say president wan buy yacht.... Yacht take do wetin abeg... Take go where?

They ask us to endure while they enjoy..... ENKR

The so called giant of Africa is only good and smart in suffering and smiling. The kind tax you people will pay in the upcoming future eh (you people will buy petrol for 1500).
Since tinubu entered, he hasn't done one single thing, the only thing he has been doing is to borrow billions with the name of Nigeria, that billions who do you think it's going to pay? Of course is not them but you, and how do you pay that billions? By increasing how they tax/milk their citizens.

You should be ashamed of yourself , your generation and the one yet to be born into this misery called Nigeria if you supported and still sing praises to your slave masters and you will continue to be a slave till the day you say enough of the suffering and smiling .

Pained losers derailing threads.

Sad but true observation by the pastor. Governance is now zero and what we see daily is politics. Political answers to issues and not practical steps.

cheesy...

If yorubas are fighting hunger despite how cheap it's to cook a pot of yoruba soup, then the hunger is really biting hard down in SW!

Ewedu 100 naira is slimy enough to feed 30 people
Omi obe as its name incurs, ' water Stew' is watery enough to feed 30 persons if you add enough intestinal damaging atarodo and shombo!

Gbegiri is a miracle , the more you add water to the bean blend the more it produces cheesy

So una no suppose complain.

Na SE and SS wey dey use crayfish and okpororoko/ stock fish dey cook suppose dey grind teeth.

Its appalling how you excavate skulls just to put those watery food without healthy vitamins on your table.

As an igbo woman, if I won cook pot of soup especially this period, e dey give headache because its not as easy as wiping hydraulic soup with bathroom broom.

Even you Sam Adeyemi.

Else, why would you leave your church (Daystar) in Naija and reside in the US?

Your ministers make money for you here every Sunday but you dey spend am abroad. So much capital flight from your ministry alone.

Instead make you bring FDI into the country like the late TB Joshua turned Synagogue into a tourist center, yours na to dey cash out for Naija but groove for Yankee.

You suppose sacrifice your abroad comfort for the flock you left at home but survival and comfort of your family is your priority.
