There's nothing wrong with that.

They found out the students were clean and released them

Security operatives raid streets and areas everywhere in the world.
and you think they gave them back their phones and laptops abi, don't be surprised they will collect money to have those items back...very unprofessional organisation, if not for SUG, I can imagine what will happen to those arrested.

This is a big disgrace to the whole nation.

You heard that Oduduwa Estate is suspect for fraudulent activities, but didn't even bother to do a thorough investigation before swooping in to start arresting every student that lives there.

So the trauma and damages inflicted on the innocent students you are fine with it? Its people like you that made me decide never to fight for this country. I mean How will someone read this and say there's nothing wrong with it. You destroyed these students rooms, assaulted them point guns to their heads. Kidnapped them and their belongings took them to another state question and release them without those belongings for them to trek back if not for the student union who were there. And in your head there is nothing wrong with it. You really deserve your leaders I swear

If you are supporting criminality in youths in the guise of studentship, then we don't need you to "fight for this country".

We only need honest and upright citizens to fight for this country, the rest should hide their faces.

Do you have sense at all?!
No one is asking them not to arrest fraudsters. But kidnapping 69 random people only to find just 11 fit for trial is a most unprofessional act. Mind you, if not for the protest and uproar, many of the released boys could have been asked to pay huge sums for their "bail".

No wonder you talk the way you do. You lack comprehension. My post was referring to the innocent students. But all your head could put together is I am supporting criminality. No single comprehension skills,

When I mentioned these words "innocent", "released" I guess they went over your tiny brain. If they had a case to answer why release them? Again I say you deserve anything your leaders do to you. Because you cant even bring your head to comprehend that they assaulted and arrested 58 innocent students, medical students inclusive, hardworking students excelling in various tech fields. even 2 doctors who just signed out. Only to release them later and you now want these doctors to stay in this country or even the medical students. One of the student in engineering won an award for his 3d art work 3 days prior. These are students of sound minds trying to make a way for themselves and you support how they were treated just because they were released. My initial statements still stands people like you are the problem of this country

And yes these students will hide their face and take their talents else where. Where they will be appreciated and respected while you guys will still be here struggling because you succeeded in chasing people who would have helped the country one way or the other if they stay. When you cannot condemn what is wrong you lose good people. And it will continue because of people like YOU. So enjoy!

Efcc have been throughly embarrassed and the regional commander has no doubt been queried. So the 11 alleged confam fraudsters are going to hear it. This will not be the usual shakedown but the full prosecution.

As aside please do not share your laptop or pc. If anyone has been allowing his friend to use his device he would be implicated by now

Good reasoning here. There was indeed some bad eggs among them. It's just unfortunate that some innocent students had to suffer just because of the bad ones.

Sure there are bad eggs among them but the purpose of intelligence gathering is to fish out those ones and arrest them. Not arresting everyone in the building then sorting.

You want them to stop crime, but don't want them to raid bad boys. Those people aren't magicians.

Try this in other places and theyll sue your pants off you...you think other places are lawless like you and Nigeria...

Oga, you are being unnecessarily emotional.

Again, security operatives raid neighborhoods all over the world. They aren't magicians; taking suspects unawares is one of the ways of stopping crimes.

The most important thing is for them to free people the moment they realise they have nothing on them.

They have no emotional intelligence, and no understanding of the right way to do things. No body is saying don't raid. But do it legally. And ensure its the right people you are raiding. How can you break into students rooms at 2am with no search or arrest warrant essentially taking away their fundamental human rights.

First get a search warrant from the court. Obviously no court in their right senses will give you search warrant for all the rooms in a hostel. They will ask you questions and limit the warrants to certain rooms which your so called intelligence can cover.

Obviously EFCC can't answer these questions so they bypass the legal way of doing things and went for the easy and criminal way. If they had a court order in form of search warrant it would have given them some cover. Because it will then be the judge that will face the majority of the heat when it comes. But no we are Nigerians we must do things illegally. Even fighting crime must be done illegally.

And since we are all use to illegalities we support it when security organisations do it, when politicians do it, when rich and influencial Nigerians do it. But when helpless Nigerians do illegality we suddenly activate our brain or when it happens to us or someone we know.

What you're saying is that people can be arrested without any evidence and, thereafter, while they're in custody, they can then be investigated for evidence, as long as they're being treated well??

If that's the case, why haven't they arrested your father and mother who are still roaming the streets doing nothing, though haven't been established to have committed any offence??

Some of you can be so senseless, i swear.

I don't think this is going to stop never ever, the pressure of the society, quick rich syndrome and many other factors are affecting the youth. So I don't blame them for finding a way to make it.. but the way society is going is so bad. Girls on the other hand they will say, where is your ride? Hmm that is part of the pressure you know, parents are there too so there is many things in consideration.

And Nigeria political system and the judicial system are corrupt so what do you expect?

Thank you jare.

I wish/hope they all read this.

They're so used to illegality that it's now a way of life...

Imagine him still insisting on his point, telling me I'm being emotional and that the law enforcement guys aren't magicians 🤣🤣🤣.

Well, I think most of them probably never left the shores of this country and even if, they don't read and aren't exposed so no surprises.

I find it exhausting engaging them cos it's easier to enlighten a stone wall.

I have been in these guys shoes before and I can tell you it's not funny beings locked up with criminals..am very sure the remaining students really have cases to answer..if the student union haven't spoken up i tell u that each student picked up will have to drop 50 to 200k to regain their freedom.. they will threaten them by saying if they don't drop money incriminating evidence would be planted..most Internet fraudsters begin as student and before they graduate buy a ride and after graduation remain 1 to 3 yrs in the vicinity of the school. Some might go for service but maintain their apartment and return other might open a small business as front..but a small number of them travel out to Europe. Some get married to foreigners and join the US army.
