Democracy is a government by the people not a government by the courts..

It is absurd that a Court of Appeal with only five judges or a Supreme Court with only seven judges can decide who won or did not win an election that millions of people voted

They didn't decide who won, they only reviewed the process and found it to have met the requirements of the law.

Throwing words won't change this.

They are not just reviewing the process sir. Whoever they declare winner is the winner even if the person didn't actually win

The ultimate power actually rests on the court and not on the people. Last last the PVC is more of ID card than election decider

What is the difference? Who ever they said won stands. There is nothing the people can do. So the power actually is in their hands and not the people. We all know in Nigeria, almost 99% of elections end in court.

And your own Requirement of the law, is that INEC should Solitarily decide who they want to announce as Winner in a Election where Over 200m persons Were expected to vote..

As awful and Atrocious this is, that only Terrible Oligarchs Would decide Who takes Decision and make disastrous policies for over 240m people, Nearly All Nigerians will not Achieve 50% of their potentials, just because Terrible individuals who make decision for their present and future every day.. And to this there may be no end to it..

The people should insist on INEC and electoral processes being transparent

The country should make enough investment on technology. Real time transmission and update of results. Whoever the system declares winner on Election Day wins

No going to court cause it’s useless. 5 or 7 people who most probably have their own preferences and biases cannot fairly determine the outcome of an election where millions of people voted

You should be blaming INEC.

.

It wasn't absurd when Obi won multiple times in court to be declared Governor of Anambra state, he loses for the first time and suddenly democracy should no longer be a government by the courts (whatever that means).

The incredible hypocrisy shown by Obidients would be laughable if it wasn't over a serious matter.

The only reason nigeria has not descended into civil war is because an igbo man is not the president. The collective hate for igbos and crude oil theft are the only things keeping nigeria together.

Look at when GEJ was president. The north sees him as an igbo man, that was why banks at the time started closing shop as early as 3pm because they could not afford diesel at N140 per litre.

Nigerians have no breaking point and your politicians will continue to steal your wealth until you sell your organs to get bread for food.

Basic GST 101 would have helped your reasoning, but I doubt if you had the opportunity.

In all, and in summary. What defines DEMOCRACY significantly and conspicuously includes: Actions and outcomes of the JUDICIARY. This also transcends to election related matters.

Hope this helps

It won't help the IPOBidient whose bitterness at his Lord and Master losing over and over again has clouded his judgement.

Of course the rascal wouldn't say that if Peter Obi had won and President Tinubu had unsuccessfully challenged his victory.

Put your GS 101 from your village school into your pocket and don’t be silly..

The Judiciary are to interpret laws and the legislature can make and change laws. In the Nigerian situation, the legislature should pass a law that strips the courts - a few, maybe ogogoro drinking, men the power to determine winner of elections

Politicians are politicians, it is in their nature to circumvent the system for personal gains.

Hence, it is expected that strong institutions emerge.

They are all mentally unstable. The two idiots that took Emilokan Tinubu to Court couldn't even tell the judges the number of votes they got which makes them winner. Is it the judges that will allocate figures to them when they don't know what they score?

Instead of arguing on number of votes, they went to be arguing about Tinubu's school certificates and old forgotten case that Tinubu had in US decades ago as if that is related to the number of votes scored in the election.

Shameless idiots. These are the ones that want the Court to overrule the votes of the people. But because we have the best Lawyers on earth, because we are the Sophisticated One, we will always humiliate them in any Court they go
