Updates on the Al-Aqsa Flood operation presented in this episode of Samri Channel.
Starting with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, who visited the northern border of Israel and conducted an assessment of the situation in the command center of the 146th Division. Galant spoke to the soldiers, saying: “Hamas fighters are receiving severe blows and we are advancing everywhere. 13 Hamas leaders were killed and we will reach everyone, commanders and field fighters.”

He added: "The Hamas leadership is responsible for this matter, and we will reach Yahya Sinwar and eliminate him. The war fronts are wide." He continued: "We have no intention of entering a war with Hezbollah. We are here on defense. However, if Nasrallah makes Sinwar's mistake and drags Hezbollah into the war, it will have bad consequences for Lebanon and will destroy Lebanon."

Regarding the duration of the military operation, Galant said: “This operation continues step by step and professionally. One thing we say to the Israeli people is that after this war, there will be no Hamas.” For his part, the military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Ubaida, said on Saturday evening that the brigades documented the destruction of 24 Israeli military vehicles, including a tank, a troop carrier, and a bulldozer, during the past 48 hours. He added in an audio speech, "We are fighting an unequal war, but it will be studied in the world."

He continued, saying, "Our fighters continue to circle behind the enemy forces and engage from zero distance with its soldiers." Abu Ubaida said, "We launched strikes with guided anti-armor missiles on the southern axis of Gaza City this evening." He added that the Brigades introduced into service "home-made Al-Yassin anti-fortified missiles, which aimed to finish off Israeli forces."

On the other hand, after significant international pressure on Israel to allow aid and fuel to enter the besieged Gaza Strip, Israel informed the United States of a plan to deliver fuel to southern Gaza under international monitoring in the event that more hospitals are out of service, two Israeli officials told Axios. Humanitarian organizations have been calling for weeks to allow fuel to enter the Strip, pointing to hospitals that have closed their doors or are at risk due to the severe fuel shortage.

Following the attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel imposed a “total blockade” on Gaza, cutting off electricity and preventing the passage of fuel, food and medical supplies into the Strip. In recent weeks, Israel has allowed a limited number of trucks carrying supplies into Gaza from Egypt, but has so far refused to allow fuel into the Strip, due to fears that Hamas might take the fuel.

IDF Chief of Staff General Herzi Halevy said on Thursday that Israel would transport fuel to hospitals with monitoring when needed. But Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Friday after his meeting with Secretary of State Tony Blinken that Israel will not allow any fuel to enter Gaza. However, the sources said there is a discussion to find a way to provide fuel to Gaza if Israel deems it is needed. Israeli officials, in cooperation with experts from international relief organizations, calculated the amount of fuel required to operate hospitals and other vital facilities for a short and limited period of time. According to the plan submitted to the United States, which requires approval by the Israeli Defense Cabinet, fuel tankers from Egypt will enter the Gaza Strip with a specified amount of fuel sufficient to operate hospitals and other humanitarian facilities for a specified period of time.

Each fuel tanker will be accompanied by a United Nations team that will closely monitor it and ensure that the fuel is delivered to hospitals for its intended purpose. Israeli officials said that when fuel runs out again, the operation will take place again for another short and limited period of time.

Finally, the Foreign Policy website presented a new Israeli plan to storm Hamas tunnels under the Gaza Strip, which includes Tel Aviv sending drones into Hamas tunnels. Israel is studying this possibility with the aim of not risking its forces. Military analysts believe that achieving this plan is difficult for several reasons, including that the tunnel is the worst place for marches. The narrow environment is full of obstacles, and any movement could break the propeller blade and disrupt the marches. In addition, drones usually rely on the Global Positioning System (GPS), which is already inoperable underground. Radio waves also do not travel through obstacles, so the operator will lose contact with the drone once it is out of sight.

The report also revealed that some technology companies are proposing the use of anti-collision sensors, fan blades surrounded by protective cages, and relying on intelligent programs known as simultaneous localization and mapping, or SLAM, which is very similar to what humans do instinctively, that is, creating a mental image of a place with the aim of finding the way. Easily without needing a map.
