Yes. This road is in the Orlu part of Imo state. We've had sidewalks and road drains for years. They just patched up this part of the sidewalk last week. So yes it's rare but they do exist.

If not for bad road, only Onitsha beats Aba in terms of development and quality of housing for non-capital cities in the whole Nigeria. Zaria, in Kaduna state is another developed non-capital city in Nigeria

Aba has better roads than Onitsha. The problem with Aba is just poor publicity and media focus on negativity. The reason Aba's beauty doesn't strike is because the roads are sandy and not swept regularly otherwise it is one of the few real cities in Nigeria.

Onitsha has better roads that Owerri and Aba. Owerri just like aba has the worst roads in southern Nigeria. Overall, Aba has an edge over Owerri because most imo indigenes prefer to live in aba than Owerri. Imo state has failed to develop any town in that state to attract other state indigenes to come live in Owerri just like imo indigenes are trooping to other states to live

Abia is trying off recently more especially since Otti came in. I quite agree that Aba has equally improved and t has better roads and better overall infrastructures than Owerri. Abia has overtaken imo state overall development

The sad thing is that Owerri was such a promising place a decade and more ago.

If they had continued that momentum, by now Owerri would have been like Abuja.

They just elected thieves and crooks to lead their state, that’s why it’s fallen behind.
