The reason the answer is wrong has to do with the fact that Jesus Christ never mentioned the words "Salvation" or "Heaven", nor hinted at any of that, in the context of the conversation He had with the thief on the cross.

2. As for my answer, well, Jesus Christ said in Matthew 24 vs 13 and Mark 13 vs 13 that it is those who stand faithful until the end that will be saved. He died before all of His disciples — well maybe not before Judas.
