Starting with the American newspaper The Washington Post, which reported, quoting a senior Israeli official, that Israel and the Hamas movement are on the verge of a deal to exchange detained women and children and announce a 5-day truce to achieve it. The Israeli official, who requested to remain anonymous, told the Washington Post, “The general framework of the deal is understood,” indicating that the deal may be announced within days if the final details are agreed upon. Israel seeks to release all 100 women and children detained by Hamas, but the first group of those to be released will be smaller. The senior Israeli official said that the detainee exchange deal will be accompanied by a truce that may last 5 days, to allow the safe exit of the Israeli hostages. The official indicated that Israel wants to guarantee the release of its citizens whose identities have been identified, in exchange for the release of Palestinian prisoners, and that the process of verifying identities represents one of the details that officials continue to discuss. Israel is conducting negotiations with Hamas indirectly, through Qatar, where some Hamas political leaders reside. Ben Gvir also called for more arming of Israeli settlers, saying: “Weapons can save lives. My first task now is to distribute weapons to the settlers.” The minister complained about what he described as "ignoring" Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government's advice when he called for the elimination of all Hamas leaders and the establishment of an Israeli National Guard before the outbreak of war. I believe by this time next year there will be nothing like Palestine again, Gaza will be rebuilt and become part of the nation of Israel and the returning Palestinians will be shepherded as refugees into IDP camps they will build all over Gaza. If Israel does not conduct a public execution of those hamas fighters that killed their people on October 7th and knowing Israel and their belief in mosaic law of an eye for an eye they won’t end there until the entire offspring and linage of those fighters are wiped out from face of the earth. This is why history is important in schools because if hamas had read history and antecedent of the Israelis nothing would have made them attack Israel in their lifetime
