Triton1996:

Popular Nigerian philanthropist, Honourable Bello Mutari has shared over 2,000 mobile phones to people in Kogi state.

This was done in his bid to foster the inclusion of the people of Kogi into the digital economy and commerce space.

Through his foundation, Mbig Foundation, Hon Bello Mutari made this commendable impact to the people of Kogi state.
Honourable Bello Mutari who is from Kogi central is known for this annual programme where he reaches out to his people. This is also in connection to his philosophy about life that states that ‘you are nothing without your people’.

This move by Honourable Bello Mutari will no doubt improve the lives of the indigenes and introduce them to the digital world.

Look, this mindset must stop.

Politicians have no business giving gifts to people with the sole purpose of buying their consciences. Until Nigerians stop accepting such Greek gifts, they will continue to live at the mercy of our irresponsible leaders. The only reason they give the gifts is to assure their victory at the elections.

Our business is to single out good and reliable leaders, vote for them without demanding or getting bribes. The responsibility of the leaders is to get into positions of power and make the nation better for all.

What is the rationale behind giving 2000 pieces of mobile phones to the citizens in a state grossly underdeveloped by the leaders elected? He uses his position in government to amass wealth mercilessly while impoverishing the same people daily.

As we speak, the country faces unprecedented hunger with Tinubu telling the people to calm down. For the first time in the history of this country, a bag of rice prices beyond the reach of the common man.

You all must elect accounts leaders who will make living beatific for all.

Your statement is evidence why Nigeria no go progress.

First, non of una ask where him get the money to buy cell phone.... If it is his personal money he worked for and not from what he stole then that's his choice.... Even at that it can be considered vote buying.

Ok now, tell me which part of the world politicians are voted into power to buy cell phone for the voters?

If I ask you to list 1000 things from what you want your politicians to deliver, will cell phone be amongst this list?

I presume you no want good roads, clean water, good schools, hospitals that are welcoming to all Nigerians irrespective of anything, NEPA, responsible police, good judiciary system, good laws to promote business minded people in nigeria, responsible Nigeria armed forces, ...I can go on and on... But I'm sure you don't want corrupt politicians.

Now how do I solve the above.... Just bring one bad politician to me and I assure you after 10 minutes with me on national TV elevision live he will confess to all he has stolen, how they steal, and who he knows in politics that have stolen.

Jerry Rawlings did it in Ghana... It worked and Ghana became awesome untill this new set of Ghana an politicians came to ruin Ghana again.

how on earth can having phones make you digitally enhanced?
instead of giving them an entrepreneurial training (learn a trade) and the phone as addition
digital economy and commerce space does not run on dataless phones, will he guarantee their data consumption before they can stand to make money with the phones?
surely, many of these phones will be sold at cheap rates and the money lavished

It is called digital inclusion, give the owners of the phone benefit of doubt. Some of the phones will be used , some sold and some used to make money. Not everyone would think and use it in one direction.
