It is falsehood saying there is no subsidy

BreconHills:

Maybe I should have used " a lot" instead of "most" but certainly states are taking home far more than they did last year even adjusted for inflation.

The point being that the Nigerian citizen should stop giving governors a free pass.
That's the problem with impulsive need to defend politicians. You just spew whatever narrative you think will justify your claim without stopping for a moment to think if it is factual or not. You then spend the rest of your time defending what is obviously a false narrative.
You don't even need to check inflation. Just check exchange rate and compare last year figures and now. If you now add the runway inflation of 30%, it makes your claim more terribly bad.
But if the states are taking far more than they used to, is the federal getting less? 52% for a single entity compared to 48% for 36+774 entities. C'mon...

Nobody gives governors free pass. It's your need to defend a part that makes you engage in whataboutism

Is it about what government makes which most times are embezzled by government officials in whatever guise OR about the vast majority of people/Nigerians who are suffering because of the removal

The issue is how the revenue is utilized? To buy 400m bullet proof lancruiser for a political office holder, to blow 900m on refreshments in 3 months, to buy rechargeable fans at 2b?
Rather let us see naira appreciate against the dollar, petrol and diesel price come down, improved education, food cost etc jare, if not, all story.

Where is the money and what is it been expended on? We need list of infrastructure that the income from the subsidy removal is been spend on, and not claim that it’s been used on palliatives. Since it is claimed that the reason for subsidy removal is for infrastructural development, then provide a list of what is been funded from this savings.

Saw this man in Abuja the other time, wasn’t impressed with what I saw, I saw an elderly man been led around by young men, telling him what to do and which direction to head to. I just shake my head☹️
