I think he has to accept the certificate of return to confirm him and his party won otherwise the slot will be given to another person

there would be a re run and PDP will win because he won on technicality and not by popular vote

Minister of labor & Employment is less to a Senator, had it been a portfolio more like Transportation, Agriculture,Works, Judiciary, FCT, Power etc He will rather stays than to resign, and another thing to look is Immunity clause attached to a Senator.

I think say he wan resign because of bad leadership.

The Chief of Staff is like a defacto President- he runs the office of the President. So Gbajagbiamila is more powerful and influential than a House rep member

Na umahi hold the APC for ebonyi state. He can return to the senate anytime he wants. And am very sure it's one of his boy that he put him the position of senate for him.

Lalong not hold APC for plateau state .

Depends on your ministry bro. From the look of things, labour ministry appears to be one worthless turbulent portfolio.

It is a matter of choice. Bala Muhammed of Bauchi resigned as a senator to become a minister while Adami Ailero of Kebbi also resigned from the senate to take up FCT ministerial position.

you are wrong, why do you think senators leave their senate seat for Governorship seat, there is more money as a governor than a senator....... Ex governors use the Senate seat as a retirement plan

If you ask me, na who I go ask. Simon Bako Lalong is a misfit for any leadership position. No governor past, present and future can beat his abysmal performance when he was a governor. No wonder the bureau of statistics in their report said local government in Plateau state generated zero revenue

You are wrong.... PDP and LP started what they aren't capable of... they draw the battle line first using the Judiciary to fight the presidency thinking they can uproot jagaban from bn presido now that they didn't succeed the presidency is now using the same weapon to fight them Nd here u are talking about one bad precedence...... It time for Tinubu to play his own card against PDP&LP.......... They have messed with the wrong person Nd jagaban will remove those party from the history of this country

Let’s assume he removes those party in the history of the country, when would he also remove poverty from the history of the country? Why is he making the lives of Nigerians difficult? What exactly has he done to improve the livelihood of Nigerians? People are suffering, but to you what matters is how opposition parties won’t exist.

Well, this settles the question of which is more lucrative, being a Senator is more lucrative than being a Minister...looting continua.

The Nigerian Senate is a cult of sophisticated shameless looters who bows to the dictates of the executive arm of government, an anomaly never recorded anywhere else on the planet.

I think the strategy is for him to go boost and strengthen APC number in the Senate bcoz some have been sacked by the Tribunal. APC cannot afford not to have majority.

After he would be allowed to pick a Minister from Plateau state to replace him.

If he chose to remain a Minister, election would have to be conducted in the Senatorial District and it's 50/50 chances.

So, it's not that Senate is more juicy, it's a compelling necessity.

Understandably, the Senate does require too much wahala, no need reporting to anybody, nobody on your neck to deliver anything, just show up once in a blue moon, your sitting allowances, constituency and many other pecks are guaranteed. It's retirement home

You are blaming INEC, you're still blaming judiciary for correcting INEC's inadequacies just because you don't like the outcome. Is that not madness pro max on your part?

The senatorial position is better for him because he has a better chance of spending 4 years in the Senate . He may likely be be sacked as a Minister because he doesn't know what he is doing

Being a minister is better in terms of everything, whether you really want to perform or it is money you're after.
Leaving ministerial position for senatorial position has to do with the fact that he was voted for, ministerial job is an appointment

if you are going to be honest with urself Nd not bn sentimental... does the suffering started and all this mess the country are into started during the beginning of his tenure or APC as a whole... ever since independence Nigeria have become a fail country Nd things get worsen year by year... then y will u blame it all on him when he haven't even spend a year... the country has bn rotted during the previous administration and it will only take miracles for any succeeding government to excel.... we have to be patient and see if all his effort will yield positive results.... to me it's too soon to judge him.... this hard time will pass by God grace... nothing good comes easily

Minister is more lucrative than a senator position. Except maybe he didn't like his portfolio of labor ministry, but funny how all of us including me are talking about how lucrative the positions are instead of if they can perform.

One of the things that makes developed economies thrive is a WORKING judiciary to checkmate criminality. We should prepare for a one-party state. Nothing anyone can tell me.
