"The 2024 budget may continue the spurious revenue benchmarks that restrained the performance level of the previous budget to less than 70 per cent in some cases. The controversial oil production benchmark, for instance, remains high at an average target of 1.8 million barrels per day (mbpd) in the next three years, which may not be firmly anchored on market and historical data...." 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Racoon: Tinubu might be very poor with his economic plans... But he's sure getting in the right tracks. The bank merger plan is another angle that will help the country's economy. But we hope he holds his minister accountable and ensure they get sacked if they fail to deliver. So far, no minister is doing enough. Everyone of them seems to be sleeping on duty. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I don't know why Raccoon, Bobloco and others are still bent on spreading the pessimism the inherited from their tribe of hate! They'll alway promote the ills and the bad of the government! I have never seen them post any good about Nigeria. You'll also seldom see them post the crimes of their brothers in South Africa and all around the world! 3 Likes 2 Shares |

AbuTwins: Bro, Tinubu is turning out to become the worst president to have ever govern this country. It is not about spreading pessimism inherited from anywhere This is fact How can you expect something tangible from an individual with questionable identity and ancestry, his renew hope manifesto contains stolen childhood picture of the former governor of cross river state. He did told you that it is his turn "Emilokan", and employed the most religiously and ethnically divisive campaign ever witnessed in the history of this country and also told you that he just here to grab, snatch and run away with power. You know that Tinubu got absolutely nothing to offer. He offered nothing when he govern lagos, he's offering nothing now that he is president Expecting Tinubu to perform is akin to looking for a needle in a haystack and you know it 6 Likes 3 Shares |

Bobloco: You didn't include your Obi who was going from church to church inciting religious tension? What about the yes daddy conversation? Wait for it! Continue to wail for the next four years! Person never spend one year they are already pessimistic! Is that a Igbo thing or obidients thing or both? They just store hatred in their brain 🧠 and no matter what they are told they'll always remain adamant just like the civil war story passed down to them. Tinubu stìll dey share FAAC to your states despite their meagre IGR! Go and hold your governors and LG chairmen accountable! 4 Likes 1 Share |

It's unfortunate Any time I see the name Bagudu, I wonder how you can call someone who was an integral part of the problem, and benefitted massively from the problem to come fix the problem. I've not seen anything that shows Tinubu is really serious about setting this country right. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

JASONjnr: Tinubu is not "poor" with his economic plans. Do not be deceived by detractors and their raucous noise of pessimism plus doom-and-gloom forecast they think they can use to make ignorant Nigerians become frustrated with the Preisdency of BAT. These people, like the rude and foul-mouthed Yoruba-hating OP, are social media terrorists and we all know that. I have studied Tinubu's plans in details and they are sound. Only IPOB louts, coming from the most maladministrated and troubled region of Nigeria, pretend Tinubu's policies must produce results in days. When you see a diaspora group, an IPOB and Igbo group in reality, convening protests and strategies to "force" Tinubu out after only six months you can tell hatred and insincerity is at work here. This is because these same people endured the incompetent and economically empty leadership of Obi, Ikpeazu, Elechi, Theodore Orji, Orji Kalu etal, for eight years as Governors yet are even promoting the political ambitions of Obi, Orji Kalu and other 'destroyers' in Igbo leadership today. Intelligent and well-meaning observers know to understand and dismiss any criticism from most Igbos as unobjective, deceitful and coming from hateful minds damaged beyond redemption. Like that of the vapid, uncouth and gutter-mouth OP. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Bobloco: Lol. You haters make me laugh. Tinubu has nothing to offer ba? Who does? Obi abi? Who do you all think you're fooling with this current 'we love and want Nigeria to work' bullcrap when we know you are the most bigoted and hateful set of people alive who hate and badmouth their own nation everywhere and every second? You're not fooling anyone. Ask yourself why it is Igbos alone, of all the over 400 ethnic groups of Nigeria, so hatefully and insultively vocal against a Presidency that is barely six months old and completely/unreasonably unwilling to give it even a year in power. Yet you had no problem giving monsters of misrule (like Obi, Ikpeazu, Orji Kalu, Theodore Orji etal) eight years each to turn States of the SE into economically barren, unsafe and desolate place young Igbos are fleeing soon as they turn 10, or even younger, for the SW. You're not fooling anyone. Least of all Yorubas who are all now aware you people are hatefully and irredeemable toxic. Even previously very Liberal Yorubas who pleaded for acceptance and empowerment of Igbos in the SW now see you lot for what you are. Irredeemable, covetous and hateful ingrates who are relentless enemies-within You will lament till hospitalised several times over the next eight year while Nigeria will continue to make progress and soar with your illness getting worse with every developmental stride Nigeria takes. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

You guys above are disgracing yourselves. You have refused to discuss the substance of the news, and as usual turn it to ethnic fight and election campaign. The report says the budget is unambitious because of its size.My question is how is the govt going to raise funds in our current economic realities? even the $9b loan proposal is a problem, and SB want him to borrow 10x that amount. 2 Likes 3 Shares |

Jorussia: Exactly. The preposterous reasoning of the article authors means there is nothing to discuss about their submissions. How 'ambitious' can anyone expect the budget of Nigeria to be when she is a broke and very unproductive mono-economy, that has not been able to significantly diversify it income-generating potentials beyond earning from crude? We do not have many internal failsafe instruments for times like this and, under the GEJ and Buhari Government, no significant rainy-day savings exist. We are virtually sliding into a national credit rating that may even make it difficult to access relatively small loans soon. The dollar rate everyone is shouting about, when aggressive subsidy is not applied to shore up the Naira against other major world currencies, is a real reflection of the unproductivity and near worthlessness of the Nigerian economy. These are the very extreme challenges Tinubu is facing and seeking to overturn yet some sadists we know are surely hateful and unobjective citizens are expecting water from a Stone in six months. The whole thing is a joke that is not funny considering it relates to adults behaving like recalcitrant toddlers who refuse even the most friendly approach for them to be moderate, reasonable and informed critics. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
