I think you are really revising history.
The backlash really started with when some few Igbos started saying Lagos is No Man's Land and 50% of the development of Lagos was done by Igbos. This was well before 2013.
And by 2015, were demanding political slots in Lagos and voting en-masse for Igbo candidates in areas they have large population (Amuwo-Odofin and Oshodi/Isolo).
This was followed by the era/years of Mazi Mental-Illness making nonsense all over the place and insulting all tribes across Nigeria and saying he would go to Lagos and Kaduna to take the battle to "them".
This was now topped up in 2023 where the silly boy, GRV, decided they were important enough electorally that he started putting "Chinedu" in his name. Plus the Obidients insulting everyone who supported Tinubu. By the way, I know Obidients are not only Igbos, but people still perceive they represent majority, so don't deviate with that.
As usual, between all these time, there were some boisterous Igbos who were also vocalising their power, superiority and insulting people online or in communities as they usual do.
I can't recall Yorubas being killed in the North in 2011. I don't even know why that would happen since Yorubas were not contesting for Presidency and ACN put Ribadu forward.
