Nigerian Army @HQNigerianArmy has just murdered over 100 Nigerians who were celebrating Maulud in Tudun Biri village, Igabi, Kaduna State and called it a “mistake”.

Nigerians have been bombed by officers whose taxes they pay, more than 10x since 2017, and still counting.

The army chief is yet to resign or be sacked; it’s clearly state-sponsored violence at this point.

Our children, and women and men are being wiped out in their own homes.
Who do we turn to for help? Where does help come from?

These were people like you and I. They didn’t deserve to die in a “mistake” bombing.

They didn’t do anything but be Nigerians 💔

Why is the military carrying out airstrikes within Nigeria's sovereign border? Is that even legal ? It is terrible enough that the military is now essentially an interior, policing force but man even the Air force?

Why do many of you make such insane comments! This isn't the first time fighter jets have been used to attack bandits. There has been at least 2 other occasions.

The problem is that the firepower of these fighter jets is simply too much and is unaporopriate to be used in situations such as these.

To deal with bandits or better still, marauder bands as this are what these criminals really are, special forces will be the best.

This will heavily reduce the risk of collateral damage. Also, these bandits tend to have hostages they hold to discourage attacks from government forces.

If Nigeria was like some countries, if carpetbombing entire villages and settlements would mean an end to the bandits, all well and good.

The truth is many drone strikes have a lot of collateral damage. Many US drone strikes in Pakistan killed and injured men, women and children. The full picture is never given.

Since the deed has been done, it would be a welcome development if the victims are compensated. In Northern Nigeriaa, a man can have as many as 30 children. The death of the breadwinner can lead to a lot of suffering.
