When I was growing up in Ibadan they use to use the word “JA” which means take off in a hurry. But suddenly i started hearing a new more qualified word “JAPA”. Then I pondered over d word and it became clear to me not only do people want to get away in a hurry, but now whilst going away in a hurry they are also shredding their passport or any item that links them to Nigeria.

It is that very serious. I hope they can revert to just “ JA” and not “JAPA”
