Africa, especially West Africa countries has many languages each. I hour drive from one place to another and you meet a completely new language.

What French and English language has done is to make communication easy. Example, Nigeria has more than 100 languages. Without English, I have to learn more than 100 languages to communicate with different people all over Nigeria.

The problem is that all these mushroom african tribes should not have been put together in one country. Africans should go back to living along tribal lines.

Multiculturalism doesn't work anywhere, even for Africans.

If Burkina Fasso is serious, they should also dismantle colonial borders.

China and India are multilingual countries. India even uses English as a working language. China has multiple languages. Even Chinese has two dialects, Mandarin and Cantonese which can in some ways sound different from each other.

Even Japan has varied languages. The Ainu and the people of Okinawa have their own native tongues.

And by the way, china India and Japan all ended up speaking the same because one tribal group conquered and dominated other tribes. It would be like the Hausa conquering all of Nigeria and forcing everyone to speak Hausa .
