Barely 24 hours after Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi and four of his colleagues from the North, who paid him solidarity visit were pelted with stones by political opponents in Port Harcourt, Governor Amaechi yesterday, raised alarm that his life was in danger. He alleged that strange policemen and intelligence officers were deployed in his lodges in Port Harcourt and Abuja without his consent.

What Fubara needs to do is;

1. Assure BAT of his loyalty
2. Woo those HOA members especially those of ijaw extraction
3. Get the PDP structure in the state
4. Also woo Odili, be like a helpless child to him
5. Invest in the judiciary

Omo after these, Wike will be as irrelevant as anything you can think of

1) Fubaras problem with Wike started when he decided to Invite Atiku to Rivers state in October on a state visit. Wike was so incensed that when flew down to PH from Abuja to see Fubara, it was alledge Wike gave Fubara a dirty slap. So, if you're Tinubu and you know Fubara secretly admires Atiku and you also know that Wike will rather die than support Atiku, who would you side with.

2) There are no true Ijaws in Rivers state. These Rivers 'Ijaws' are in truth independent ethnicities who have stood alone before now, identified by the name of their ethnic group, have their unique languages and have maintained they same. They have historically fought themselves and some still have historical enmity that will always make some decisions bordering on Rivers ijaw fraternity to be prejudicial. This Ijaw claim began during the later years of the 1st term of president Obasanjo's regime. That was where everyone who lived by the river/coast was asked to identify as Ijaw because of strength in numbers.

When Bayelsa was to be created, Ijaws in Rivers state was asked to Identify themselves so as to be part of Bayelsa, all of them claiming Ijaw now in Rivers state refused to present themselves. Instead the choose to be Identified as Kalabari, Okrika, Opobo, Bonny. Surprise they are now Ijaw and have Included Andoni, Abua, Engenni etc. All these groups I mentioned, cannot speak and understand themselves. If you can't speak same language, how can you be one. Even Ikwerre that doesnt identify with Igbos is almost 92% Igbo in words and vocabulary such that an Ikwerre will hear Igbo and grasp almost everything. But what will am Andoni and Opobo or Bonny and Abua man have in common linguistically?

you are very stupid and know nothing in politics. No federal might can go against a sitting governor.

Obasanjo tried it on Tinubu, it didn’t work.

As far as the rivers state governor is a strong man, nothing Wike will do to him.
You’ll realize you’re very stupid if I start to mention governors who lost reelection and those who were impeached. But No, I don’t have that time.

Absolutely right

in the old Rivers state Kolokuma dominated
Even when reading news Kalabari news was distinct
After Bayelsa was created we came to know the true population of Ijaws.
Fake numbers that were used to dominate the old Rivers state were exposed

It would be very unwise to try to make this an ethnic thing
Fubara will just end up spoiling future chances of his people to become governor in Rivers state

There is nothing they can say about Ijaw matter that Rivers uplander doesn't know.

Why would Fubara need to explain that he is 'Ijaw to the bone' to Kalabari delegation that paid him a courtesy visit. Does a Jewish man need to explain to Jewish people that he is a Jew?

Fubara does not really know himself. As a civil servant who was handpicked and made a governor, commonsense would have dictated to him to bide his time and slowly but surely build his structure. Atleast do the first 4 years and then revilt against your godfather. But here he is fighting when he didn't install a single ward chairman or a single Councillor or a single assembly member. Even the form he used for primary election he didn't buy it.

I have no sympathy for his cries because he knew what Wike wanted of him before he accepted to become of Rivers state. He had the option of continuing as a civil servant and letting someone else become the governor.

In all truth, Fubara can't win Tonye Cole or Magnus Abe or Dumo Lulu-Briggs or the Labour Party candidate (who had a massive support due to Peter Obi) in a free and fair election. Now, Wike has made you governor through rigging, you now claim Rivers people gave you mandate. Mtcheeeeew, who know you.

If not for greed, what is Wike's eye still doing in Rivers State affairs? You're a minister in APC, a member of PDP and still want to control the same PDP structure you betrayed during the last election.

If it were me ehn, I will start by reclaiming all those properties he converted to personal use, investigate how much he spent on all those unnecessary flyovers and demolish anything that's linked to him. Since he wants to be mad and trust me fubabra has all the receipts as his cartel man. Rivers people too are waiting to reward him for throwing all of our votes under the bus in order to get the favor he has now. Nonsense

People here are really stupid. You people just come and comment rubbish. A sitting governor has no power if there’s no support from Abuja. Atleast in today’s Nigeria. Obaseki survived because Buhari was nonchalant and the cabal were actually against oshieomole because of tinubu. If you doubt, watch what will happen in the forthcoming elections. APC will sweep Edo state. If Wike and Abuja wants Fubara to go, trust me, he will go, heavens will not fall. Fubara will definitely go, but not so soon. They will impeach him, he’s already falling into traps and he’s committing impeachable offenses.

Oga, fubara is going no where. You think a gov is the same as nlc chairman. You dont know nigeria has grown beyond that obj lawless era, and of all States, rivers. Even tinubu knows he has to tread softly and treat this case delicately.
