--Charles Soludo as an Unrepentant Tax Shark.

There is nothing positive about the news from Agụ-Awka being circulated by the Soludo Data-boys regarding the purported termination of contract and partnership of the government with TESCO-CONSULT; the company that won the criminal bid to extort and stifle POS operators, leading to the struggle and possible death of more businesses and the impoverishment of people in rural areas.

The newsletter from the Anambra State Revenue House is a poorly planned damage control measure aiming to mitigate the backlash the inhuman and insensitive tax policy of the Soludo administration has generated on social media and among ndị Anambra.

The administration of Professor Charles Soludo has only demonstrated plain wickedness, mischief and hatred for residents of Anambra through its insensitive tax policies which aims to stifle small businesses to fund the Governor's extravagant office expenditure and overtly inflated security votes, as seen in the proposed 2024 budget.

The Anambra state government letter regarding TESCO-CONSULT's supposed contract termination only disapproved of the company's decision to collect taxes manually and into a private account of the partners. This is opposed to the Anambra State revenue service recommendation of collecting the taxes electronically and into a joint account with the state government.

The Anambra state government did not deny or disprove the extortion of POS operators in the state. The government did not suspend the burdensome tax but purportedly terminated TESCO-CONSULT's contract for collecting taxes manually and in their private accounts.

Reliable sources have confirmed that TESCO-CONSULT, which won the bid for the POS IGR window, is a company owned by members of Professor Charles Soludo's family. As such, they cannot be disengaged, and the news release was only for sensational headlines, and the criminal practice continues.

The letter signed by the Executive Director of Anambra State Revenue Service admits that the administration of Professor Charles Soludo has imposed taxes on POS operators in the state. There is no indication of the repudiation of the newly imposed tax as wrongly claimed by the media aides. Instead, a mere suspension of TESCO-CONSULT, which will not be enforced given their connection and relationship with the Anambra first family.

Indeed, Anambra is in trouble with Soludo.

This your report is really not clear. How are POS operators taxed? You didn't really give us details.
However I wonder why Nigerians are afraid of taxes yet want to japa to countries where taxes are compulsory and evasion is a criminal act.
