It is called Ègbo. It is made from maize.

The white corn is called Mash corn (Egbo)
Beans is called Mash beans (Ẹwà Aganyi)

Ekuru is made from beans. This is maize so the taste is different. It's eaten with mashed beans though.

It's called egbo. It's made from cooking dry corn. It's good stuff.

It's a very early morning stuff. We used to queue for it back then.

Do they remove the outer part of the corn (like how you'd do with beans for moi-moi) before cooking it?
I kinda looks smooth and creamy in texture.

The outer part is removed through machine process in modern day. Same machine used for rice dehusking locally.
