This law will be for the average Nigerian who manages to pull out of poverty. Even though he would be able to prove how he made the money he would first go through some harrowing experience and part with a lot of that legal money before he is released. The politicians won't be touched and that's because they can prove their source of wealth because they are POLITICIANS which is a legit form of business in Nigeria. |

If approved now, I am certain it would be effected on neatly looking guys, driving luxury cars The hawk is now known for going after Yahoo boys whereas the big fishes are everywhere displaying their illegally acquired wealth. The Hawk is now like men on black, widely known for intimidating the common masses. |

maasoap: Training a toothless dog is corruption. No matter how perfect our laws are...hence it's fused with political manipulation it won't function in this climate. I.e..inec, judiciary, cbn, etc. Until our politicians start doing the right thing nothing will function as we expected in Nigeria. |

Rubbish. What happened to "Presumed Innocent until Proven Guilty" These EFCC jokers don't want to work. That's their job to fish out people committing these crimes not sitting in their offices and be asking people to be explaining where they got the money from. Identify potential criminals based on reliable intel, investigate discretely and then find something on them, I mean solid evidence of crimes committed, then you can prosecute. At least we all now understand why they never win any case and then resort to harassing people even in courts. Who even trains these EFCC clowns sef. |

This law would be made for the people that has nobody, not for the elites and politicians. More like sharia law. May God punish the Efcc chairman. |

Bro leave story.. When we started complaining about SARS this is what people are saying until it get to them. We have The Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), EFCC and others and till today peoples money are still leaving their bank account and if you go to the EFCC or Police they will even ask you money before they move a finger. The EFCC boss should start with his boys, let him get a law that we the citizens can arrest his boys too. We have many of them with salary of less than 300k and each of their child is attending school paying about 500k per term, living in top estate, driving huge cars and same as their wives. pquaver: |
Re: EFCC Seeks Laws Against Unexplained Wealth by madridguy(m): 9:18am On Dec 16, 2023 |
Let the change begins with him first and his boys. I can bet you, under him are many boys living above their means too. Let him publish atleast 20 of his boys and their salary and let Nigerians do their auditing too. Let start from the house they are living, environment, cars they are driving, school their wards are attending to start with and let see if those his boys can justify all these with their salary. phemray: |

Re: EFCC Seeks Laws Against Unexplained Wealth by madridguy(m): 9:33am On Dec 16, 2023 |
Let him start by using the law and power at his disposal for now and let see changes before he will start demanding for more power. All of them are just using their seat of power to gather wealth, intimidate others and not to serve Nigeria. pquaver: |
