There are numerous other assurances by various individuals (Ibrahim Onoja, Mele Kyari etc.) of a Kaduna refinery that would be operational by December 2023.

In November 2023, Mr. Mele Kyari told lawmakers “I can confirm to you that by the end of December this year, we will start the Port Harcourt refinery” .

He gathered all the dollars in Nigeria and gave it to Dangote to go a float a new refinery.

If we can get like 3 or 4 vibrant refineries working in Nigeria within the next 2 years, perhaps price can reduce.
