Nigerians should shun tribalism if it wants to grow higher!

It is worthy to note that Tinubu supporters are the problem here on nairaland, to them you dare not criticise Tinubu because he is a yolluba man but they forgot how they disgraced and dragged innocent Jonathan to the mud despite how the country was prospering gloriously under GEJ.

You didn't have to lie because you liked GEJ....if he had continued our situation will be worse than Argentina and Zimbabwe combined .

But even GEJ you are supposedly fighting for is with PBAT now......abi you wan pretend you didn't see that lovely trending photo where both leaders were having a hearty laugh

No state is viable in the east. All are insolvent.

Let the developers go home and build there. Do their businesses there.

Nah. You lie.

We had something to show for every time Nigeria sold oil higher than was budgeted for. It is the same political stalwarts currently running the APC that pushed for all of that reserve funds to be shared as national Cake. For all the time we had the same fortune under APC, no such saving of excesses were made. Now tha Naira is in free fall, we have nothing to shore up; and may very well be on course to rival Argentina and Zimbabwe.

Here we go again!

Instead of addressing the topic of discussion, you resort to digression.

Crying over GEJ now is totally uncalled for.

He had his time in office and made a pretty mess of it!

He (GEJ) is from Bayelsa State. A State with just 8 LGAs with abundant oil wealth but always at the bottom of the rung of all developmental indices.

Ain't you worried about this state of affairs?

This is the only State in Nigeria almost entirely populated by the Ijaws who often threaten to cripple the economy at the drop of a hat yet are so shamelessly docile when it comes to leadership in the State.

Bayelsa State, so rich, yet so poor!

Think about it!

At the bolded,

Bros how was the economy under GEJ compare to this hell Nigerians are passing through under Tinubu? I don't understand. Is this Tinubu's economy a joke to you?

We had a fortune but PDP guys blew it all only for them to turn around and be blaming APC....IF PDP did what they were supposed to do to make Nigeria great who will turn to APC...

Exactly my point.

The moment anyone attacks Tinubu they immediately tagged him as one from the East. Is baffles me to ask if nairaland are majorly Igbos and do Igbos have the highest population in Nigeria? Because I don't get it. Is Edo state a joke to you? Or you guys believe no Benin or esan people in this group?

Like what is the interrelation between Edo state and se? Are you not a 🤡 like this?

Ok, so how's our situation now under Tinubu as compared to GEJ?

How much was a bag of rice, liter of fuel, gas and how much was a dollar then under compare to now under Tinubu?

I hope our situation is now prosperous than that of Argentina and Zimbabwe? 🤡

They did so because GEJ kept dipping his hands in the reserve without anything to show.

Another lie.

There is no proof that Jonathan dipped his hand in the ECA for private use. Lies concocted by those wholeheartedly after sharing the national cake. The ECA showed growth from when he established it till when your people pushed to have it shared . If you have any record of dipping in the reserves, please, let's have the numbers.

There is proof however, that APC stalwarts started clamouring to share the ECA when it was $9bn and when they eventually succeeded, it was $15bn.

There is also proof that despite the upward fluctuations in the crude sales during the APC, no significant earnings were posted in the ESA. If you have record of savings to reflect the surges in oil prices after the budget was passed, you may also post it.

Thanks in advance.

Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Kaduna, Kwara, Oyo and Edo as the most viable states in Nigeria for 2022.

Not surprised. Some people shameless people will tell you it is because of their contribution, meanwhile nothing to show in the home town and they foolishly assume others don’t do anything. Shameless Chest beaters

The original post is pure typical and idiotic Nigerian analysis. Unlike Lagos, most states are not city on Nigerian steroid. Most states in Nigeria did not benefit from being capital of Nigeria.

Were Oyo, PH, and Ogun once the capitals of Nigeria?

Stupid report. The so called revenue federal government is sharing is from crude explored in Bayelsa and akwaibom states sold in International markets largely . It's like brain dead people in Federal government these days. Why not start resource control and we still see if those states will not be one of the wealthiest. Idiots.

IGR is different from Govt resources. All solid minerals or crude reserves belong to them. Internal generated revenue is important for states as well.

Hello soullove1881

It is pronounced as yo-llu-ba. The phrase yo-ru--ba does not exist in the yolluba origin and hence empty and void. The correct pronunciation is yo-llu-ba or yö-llú-bä coined from the ancient yolluba origin.

you will not see them because this report is based on a misleading development index called IGR. But the GDP of the states are totally different.

Most states you see posting high IGR' figures such as Lagos, Ogun etc heavily inflated their IGR figures in order to be able to attract loans. This is why the budget figures of endemic borrower states are lower than non borrower states in proportion to their respective IGR figures.

A salary earner needs to prove he earns enough for a loan. This also apply to states, except they control IGR figures. This explains why Ogun and oyo claim they earn high revenue but can't execute projects without borrowing while a state like Anambra is very bouyant with modest IGR.

To understand IGR figures, check the list of indebted states.
To understand true economic standing of states, check their GDP. Your politicians are decieving you.
Pained looser,if your erosion raved enclave is not mentioned then the statistics is nonsense. Why don't you ant brains carry out your analysis and show us why your people are running to southwest every day. For your information your shithole southeast states don't influence and affect anything in the country. Totally useless.
