What he said is actually the truth, government need to do proper planning, each local government bring out so so and so hecters foe farming, ranching, with the way people are building houses down east there may not be farmlands again, vegetation will be gone. Unplanned development is not development.
There are abundant farmlands in the agrarian communities sharing boarders with Kogi state.

What he said is nonsense. Anambra is the best planned and most developed state in igboland. Focus on your backward imo state. You people are known for envy and bitterness towards Anambra despite that Anambra is the greener pasture of imo state people

This place does not look like it is growing... look at how scanty the aerial pictures are. Except the state is going green there is nothing city like here.
Also poorly planned, I can literally see structures with no road access.

Bro, do you really know the cost of acquiring a plot of land in a busy area in Anambra state, and also the cost of building such massive hotels, cost of building an industry, hospitals, and real estate. Anambra is the best state for healthcare in Nigeria.
Anambra economy is the best in Nigeria because is one of the best state for business and investment. The state also boasts for the most Indigenous Industries in Nigeria. Anambra has a lower task rate system for industries and markets, compared to Lagos that's full of tasks and high costs of living(an average Legosian doesn't have a savings, but the transaction is quite going on).
Anambra has about 260 International and Major local market compared to Lagos that has 52 International and local markets.
Onitsha main market is the 2nd biggest markets in Africa and the biggest in West Africa.
No state in Nigeria can be able to stand with Anambra state in terms of economical values, standard of living(even some Aboki at Onitsha and Awka are living in a home compared to Lagos that's full with homeless people and slums), Anambra state is very competitive in terms of business, if you know what you're doing, you'd definitely succeed. Anambra is a home of wealthy people and the light of Nigeria.
Nnewi economy is bigger than that of Abuja, it's a fact! During December 2023, Nnewi opened about 30 luxurious Hotels, and the hotels are booming very well(anything you bring to Nnewi must be sold there, because the residents are very capable), any good products brought to Nnewi must be sold out there without delay because the residents are very good in business.

So everyone, we have a lot of good things in Anambra state, we make people wealthy, and make people build their own houses in their various homeland.
We're very proud of our unity.

Honestly, the photos you're posting here are getting me ashamed. If you are celebrating these, then, we have nothing in Igboland. For crying out loud, these are not so special as to warrant you coming here to throw a bash. Na wah oh!

Your type are the reason why western countries don't give out Visa to Nigerians, even for people travelling for genuine purposes like business, tourism or education, because your comment shows you don't regard and value your homeland just because you don't have any valuable asset or business that generates you an income which may causes to the desperation and urge of you to leave your country.
There are a lot of Igbo people doing business with Europeans, Chinese, American, and Japanese etc.
And these Western countries respect and value their Igbo business partners the most. These Igbo people usually travel to any of the western countries for business and educational purposes on a daily basis, and they come back home with new investment ideas, good newly imported products, foreign currency to develop their region, and also an ideas of exportation purposes.
We're really trying our best, it's only left for our government to provide us with some basics infrastructures like, good road networking system, constant electricity, make Onitsha, Calabar, and Ph Seaport viable for importation and exportion, make every Cargo airport viable too, open all our borders, let the Health Insurance companies take care of our health care system, since the government won't be able to manage and funds the health sector(everyone living in the country must buy a yearly Health Insurance card).
I don't know whom to blame on our educational system, most expecially the higher institutions wether to blame the Government, Lecturers, or Students, we've to value our educational system, at least. We've records of thousands of unproductive graduates yearly, most at times, the ones in the business sectors are better than them financially and are more industrious as well(some of our graduates are the ones getting little paid by Nairaland, just for them to argue and cause tribal war in every thread thereby gaining more traffic, you'll should better look for something profitable to do with your life).
If Nigerian government can be able to provide these mentioned basics infrastructure, then no doubt Anambra city will look like Netherlands, Austria, Germany etc.

Anambra have four major cities Onitsha, Nnewi, Awka and Ekwulobia, these cities are expanding into many towns in different LGAs of the state, for example Onitsha metropolis which covers many towns and local governments like Onitsha, Oba, Obosi, Nkpor, Ogidi,Nkwelle, Ogbaru, Nsugbe, Ogbunike, Umunya etc not just Onitsha town, Awka metro which covers many towns including Amawobia, Nnibo, Okpuno, Umuawulu, Amansea, Isuanocha, Isiagu, Umuokpu, Nwafia, Enugu-Ukwu, Nise, Nnewi which is gradually expanding to Nnobi, Awka-Etiti, Ozubulu, Orifite etc then Ekwulobia expanding to Oko, Uga, Agulu etc

For example this is Ozubulu a neighbor town to Nnewi

In Nigeria a politician can spend N10m to launch a 2km road or borehole in some rural area.
Nigerians will also brag about 1 or 2 beautiful areas in their state while the remaining 97% of the state is in total shambles, infrastructure is a necessity not a
luxury. Does one hotel make Anambra the new heaven of Nigeria?
