Burna’s mum is from Otuo-Owan not Akoko Edo, her surname Idonije in Benin means i have done something for the king, it cannot be interpreted in Yoruba, she is not Yoruba and doesn’t identify as Yoruba. She is only maternally related to yoruba

These oral history that Is not backed by reality is not enough. Ibillo speak dialect of okpamheri as a first language. Okpamheri is effectively an Edo group just like Urhobo, Esan etcThat is a stronger testament to history than oral history that can change anytime because it is not written down. Deadlytruth have schooled you guys on this issue time and time again. It seems like your brain is too dense to accept or you are too fixated on what you want to believe.

I can say I came from Israel or Somalia , what proof do I have? That is why there is archeology and linguistics to fact-check oral history that was not written down.

Even on one of deadlytruth post, I read where he said a big professor attributed Igarra to Igala because of the similarities in name but later made a change to it when he discovered the language is more akin to Ebira and the history of sister Igarra tribe traces to Kwararafa .

The funny thing is that you have been defeated tirelessly by dealytruth on this matter, but go on to create a thread for people who seem not to be so familiar with prevalent written text in this regard and also the language family of these groups.

Usen speak a Yoruboid first language , she is Yoruboid, okay lipsrsealed , Ibillo speak an Edoid first language, she came from yorubaland. How ogbeni? First language is the traditional language of the people. Oral history is and has never been enough. We can’t take the tales of two men whose lineage might actually be from yorubaland. They want to make their history the history of Ibillo, it is not possible. That is why archeology and linguistics is there to support it. If the factchecking of these oral history by linguistics does not come back positive, it is most certainly not true. Babasolution
