Faith/hope/prayer without works is dead.

You obviously understand that at the personal level, which is why you are hawking jerseys on nairaland to earn money and pay your bills instead of just praying and hoping for the bills to be paid miraculously.

So why do you fail to understand that at the collective & group level?

Don't mind that guy.

Circus show.
PH refinery is working
PH refinery is going to work
PH refinery phase 1 is working
PH refinery phase 2 is in progress
PH refinery is test running

They will soon set fire to one part and give another excuse again
They started with it will work in December last year,

Tinubu is already a bad Omen, adding propanganda to it will make him even worse, but he thinks propaganda will benefit his government like they do in Lagos.

Different scenario and intention entirely. PH refinery will work because a lot is riding on it.

If you love Nigeria and wish her to succeed then you will stop focusing obdurately on the delay alone and look at the bigger picture.

Will you keep kwayet...we told u, dis is a foolish endeavor....But No, u guys just want to waste money like that 'TAM' thing dey do to suck up funds.

To be honest, I am really hoping I get proven wrong & d refinery actually get to work for a long time, not just flair imported gas 4 agbdori@ns a few days yearly

Don't allow evil spirit follow you into the new year. This is a normal process after fixing the mechanical part, next is the test running. You don't expect to hit off production immediately without test running all the process. It is quite unfortunate that some so called educated folks can't put into good use their thinking faculties.

Don't blame the People, with persimism, especially the LP -because they have been battered with 17- years of PDP- without a Single FUNCTIONAL Infrastructure + 8- years of Buhari, but Baba Buhari ,at least gave us 2nd Niger- Bridge, even though nothing to write about his economy mantra!
•It's our Collective desires ( of the Masses) to ensure that Politicians -keep their Promises- for good governance!
And this should be monitored- from ----Local governments,
-States Governments including ( the Governors),
-the National Assembly ( Senators, and House of Reps) +
-the States Assembly Members!
What have been there Contributions to the Nigeria Development, especially lifting up the Youths and the Future?
•Can NIGERIANS Trust them?

Is test-running one big vocabulary too difficult to understand?. For the very first time in several decades we are test running our refinery yet you guys are not excited?, you need help.

The thing is they should have factored in the test running phase before coming up with the full operational date

You did be disappointed if you are so optimistic about Nigerian issues, it's better to be pessimistic for your mental health, till they make it a norm to fulfil their word of mouth!
I have been so optimistic about lots of things since the early 2000s, today they are worse!!
From 2010 to 2021, they did 3 Turn around maintenance (TAM) on that pH refinery worth billions of naira and it's not working, so how do you blame people when they choose to be pessimistic about it

I don't blame people for being pessimistic. I only say we look at every situation and Presidency on it's own merit. That is what objective and progressive adults do.

We can give what is regarded 'reasonable time'before going overboard with prophetic and emphatic declaration of doom and failure.

Failure to meet time and costing deadline is common universally. It does not mean project failure to anyone but those only wanting failure as an outcome.

I remember when the UK hosted the Olympics a while ago and the brand new Olympic Village created for the ocassion, in the Stratford area, was far above budget than anyone expected with some minor deadline issues.

The project still ended up a monumental success leading to the hosting of one of the more stand-out Olympics in recent history.

PH refinery was due to begin operation December 2023. That this did not happen warrants a "Tinubu must go" lynch mob convening at the gates of Aso Rock or Nairaland, twitter etal on 1st January 2024?

Let's be honest with ourselves. The ethno-religious, political and sectional hatred and intolerance Nigerians host for each other is too much and counterproductive to our national success. Nigerians, especially leaders, must recognise this and use it positively rather than wait for it to destroy us.

The same people who gave proven failures like Orji Kalu, Theodore Orji, Ikpeazu, Obi etal 8 years in power and even sent many to possible 20 years lucrative retirement in our legislative houses are insisting Tinubu be booted out after 7 months in power.

The North that, for 8 years, condoned and even feigned ignorance of the monumental shedding of the blood of Innocent Northerners under Buhari have suddenly found their voices of indictment against the 7 months old Presidency of Tinubu.

How is any of the criticism of those sort of people objective, nationally progressive, well-intentioned or even helpful on any level? I know Tinubu will succeed but , beyond that and asap, he must deliver regional autonomy.

Perhaps you've got to update your moniker to the new era and adjust your philosophy and mindset alongside it. It's a new dawn already and a new wave of sunshine is brightening the day already. Adjust your believe and the truth you seek shall manifest to you

SECONDLY, you don't go about telling everybody to keep quiet on a forum because their orientation and ideas are different from yours, where the heck is your manners? HOW do you want to have an educative and objective argument starting your post with such recklessness? Don't know you but you'd be better off working on your reaction and mentality. Happy new year
You will still repeat your first paragraph come 2025 as you guys have failed to reflect and audit your empty optimism.

It has been aan annual ritual to compete for optimistic mugus for Nigerians.

You know its difficult to defend and sustain a lie.. its really hard.. if the refinery is working the NNPC doesn't need to yammer online..we would see with our eyes trucks and trailers making their way in and out of the refinery with downstream products..

These betting companies should start having bets on governments pronouncements. Imagine betting on if the port harcourt refinery will work or not by December 2023 as pronounced by NNPC. The people that bet on it not working would have been cashing out this new month😁

It is you who should keep "kwayet" and invest in writing properly before going online to stalk those a million times better educated and more erudite than you are.

Project delay, commonplace worldwide, does not mean project failure but I would not expect an illiterate, likely an IPOB bigot to boot, will ever appreciate that universal fact.

To you idiots, if it is not coming from your messiahs Obi, Kanu or Ekpa then it is doomed to fail.

Useless Government, what will it cost them to tell Nigerians the truth? Well, from some comments above. It seems Nigerians deserved to be lied to always by the evil party.
Re: Port Harcourt Refinery Still Test Running – NNPC by engrchykae(m): 10:42am On Jan 01
Nigeria had agreement with Britain not to refine crude.
Amardu Bello,Zik,tafawa balewa, okotie eboh etc are privy to the agreement.
Under the chairmanship of princess Alexandra of Kent.
Awolowo was shouting,"what's the content of the document we are signing"Zik and balewa ignored awolowo.
The only Nigerians that will refine crude are the ones in the creeks and the colonial government sees them as "illegal"whatever that term means.

The stealing and looting of our common wealth under the guise of turn around maintenance continues from one government to another.
This is a refinery built in 1957/58. It is outdated and aged seriously.
Government officials and contractors are using maintenance guise to loot seriously. If not why are we importing fuel for over 20 years. The level of deceit and raising false hope is too much.

This man with his scam refinery have started again. You have already told Nigeria that what you have repaired so far is the mechanical aspect of the refinery. So why the information on test running or you are now running out of lies with the old man currently occupying Asorock. No matter what you said now, we know this refinery will not start production till 2025
